haha, maybe you are the one who needs to learn how to add. this is the 3rd different total for tackles for estep that i have seen in the hampton game. one says 8, one says 9, and yours says 10. I only remember him have 4 tackles in that game and 2 personal foul facemasks. but i am not counting the ones where he just piles on after the whistle has blown or the ones where he is not anywhere close to the tackle. the creekers need to get over estep. he is a decent player on THAT TEAM. he would just be another player on a team like hampton. i heard he went down to some camp in the off season and purty much embarassed himself cuz he was slow and not that strong at all...

I'm sorry, but I just don't trust a Hamptonite's count total... Doubt it's very accurate! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

stoner creekers very own tim chambers had him at 8 tackles against hampton. as for accuracy, i am positive that a hamptonites total is more accurate than a stoner creeker's. the creekers continues to struggle to catch up with the rest of the county in terms of education and literacy...

I think Cosby football is BS, here in Carter County we call Estep's stats adding (something you may not know how to do there in Eagle land) Check the Johnson city press or the Elizabethton Star you can see these stats for yourself. look back over the games and add, it's that simple.

Game 1 Chuckey Doak-24 tackles

Game 2 Union County -12

Game 3 Grace -15

Game 4 West Green -19

Game 5 Hampton -10

Game 6 Sullivan East -13

TOTAL =93

And by the way you can count this week's yourself because you'll get to see in person what he can do!

Yeah, the paper is always right...

But i will believe you. Lets assume that young Estep has gotten 93 tackles in the first six games. averagine 15.5 tackles a game. At that rate he will finish the season with 155. If his team makes playoffs it will be 170 1/2 tackles. If they somehow make the second round it would be 196 tackles. If somehow they make the third round, he will have well over 200 tackles in one year.

Your talking Mr. Football numbers if he is getting those kinda tackles.

Oh my gosh!!!! Who cares how many tackles he has?? If your playing Unaka in the future....Just block the kid!! No offense to Estep but lets talk about some other players in the region. Whos looking good for the post-season players of the year awards?? MVP, Offensive POY, Defensive POY, Special Teams POY, Coach of the Year???

I know its way to early but Lunsford, hughes, buckner, estep are the players right now that are probley the front runners (Not in any order) then for the coaches: of course jc's name always has to be mentioned, Jellicos HC, Ensor Unaka , turbyfill from cloudland. All of this could change any week if players start worrying about their stats instead of winning first. Team comes first. best of luck to all of the players and coaches in the conference rest of the season

Way to much junk in the voting to even pay it any attention. These Coaches get together and tell each other ,you vote for this one and I'll vote for that one. All of these teams have some good players, the one's I like worry about the team ,instead of the individual stuff. Team game.

Yeah yeah just keep telling yourself that. He is just a decent linebacker on a sh?ty team. Just like Coach Ensor keeps saying in the paper, Not to take anything away from them but we give them two or three there. I call Bull Sh?t on that you people from the creeper creek kill me, You all always have some excuse for why you all get beat. Just face it you all s?ck as?. So promote him all you want but he will never be ranked up there with the likes of Dane Christman. Now he was a real linebacker, from his sophmore to his senior year he averaged around 150 to 160 tackles in a ten game season and not to mention winning the Mr. Football award that year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

If you watch some of the films, you would see what Ensor is talking about. Did your mother not teach you that if you cant say something nice do not say it at all? Be Humble in Victory and the Lord shall reward you.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
