Well this past friday assured one thing... that the next four weeks of football are going to be full of headaches for anyone trying to figure out how this one will shape up. As it stands right now.

Watertown is 2-1 in region and 5-1 overall

Gordonsville is 2-1 in region and 4-2 overall

Friendship is 2-1 in region and 4-2 overeall

Trousdale is 2-1 in region and 4-2 overall

Monterey is 2-1 in region and 4-2 overall

Clay County is 1-2 in region and 4-2 overall

MJCA is 1-2 in region and 2-4 overall

RBS is 0-3 in region and 0-6 overall

Clay County has lost to FCS and Watertown, another loss will likely push them out of the playoff picture completely.

Other than Clay County who can't afford to lose another region game, there is Five teams fighting each other for four spots in the playoffs... The next few weeks might clear things up but it is looking like it's gonna be a headache to figure out seedings.

yeah that region is BRUTAL. IF you don't destroy each other first the winner may take home the state championship.

The SEC of 1A! I was honestly thinking the same thing on the way home.

Reg.4 is no doubt the toughest in 1A.

The next 4 wks. are going to be a crapshoot. Gotta love it. This is what makes this soooo

much fun. There's probably gonna be a run on blood pressure medication.

This weeks games and predictions for them.

Red Boiling vs FCS - yeah...

MJCA vs Watertown - Watertown should win it

Monterey vs. Gordonsville - Comming off an emotional high i just don't know how to predict it. I pick Gordonsville just because I don't know how much of Moterey beating FCS was Monterey.

Clay County vs. Trousdale - Clay County is improved alot from last year, but i think that the way Trousdale has been playing against this region the past two weeks, they handle Clay County by a touchdown or two and basically knock clay county out of playoff contention.

It's a little early but I just have a gut feeling that the Playoffs will have FCS, Gordonsville and TC as the top 3, and that Monterey beats Watertown again to keep the purple tigers out of the playoffs.

FUN FUN FUN!!!! I think we should see in the next couple of weeks who REALLY WANTS IT. No doubt the teams are tough in region 4, but they all have their weaknesses. Should be interesting to see WHO pulls it all together the next few weeks to take region 4 to the next level.

SEC of 1A LOL!! thats about how it is. Hard to come out of this region without a loss. It just doesnt make sense. WHS over TC, TC over Monterey and Gville, FCS over WHS, and Monterrey over FCS. Watertown is atop the region right now. Go purple tigers!

well i would love to see fcs lose to gville an T.C an have them sitin home cum playoff time .

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
