I want to chime in on behalf of Jordan. The kid is good, but he is not Division 1 material. People of West TN, though very friendly and kind, are very sheltered in the real world of sports. Many think that if someone is good in West TN then dog-gonnit they can play, not only at the next level, but D1! (Baseball and Basketball included) The kid can run over single A defenses, but he, like most other West TN single A athletes, couldn't run over a Florida Gator defense nor have the speed to run around them! There are exceptions such as Patrick Willis and so on, but for the most part, I feel that this is consistent around the board. He is better suited for D2 or maybe D1AA. West TN is not the only place in America where kids are good or even great at sports!

Matlock, maybe. He has the tools...a 6-5, 275 pounder who runs like he does is going to draw some D-I interest. I don't see it being anything more than a UT-Martin or Austin Peay type school, though.

 

Jordan, no. But he'd probably tear it up at a place like Bethel.

Maybe Jordan will get to replace Terrance Bell at Bethel after he graduates...With Chad Jordan following in the footsteps of Terrance it should not be hard for Chad to do!!!! Bethel could pick up Chad, red-shirt him his freshman year and let him watch Terrance for a season and then give him some action after Terrance is gone!!!Look at all the success Bethel is having...Ranked #5 in the NAIA...No it's not D1 but still a good education and outstanding football program!!!!

I remember reading some of the same exact posts about Patrick Willis saying he couldn't cut it when he signed with Ole Miss. That he would be regulated to special teams at best because of the speed of the SEC. I wouldn't doubt Chad just yet. If given the opportunity he could blossom into one heck of a football player.
