Wisdom is not the only running back for Hunter's Lane, Yes he is a good runner but there are other players that can handle the position as well, I say hunter's lane all the way...

I have heard that Gallatin had lost a lot of players last year so we shall see... I think its going to be an interesting game.

I think moving #9 from qb would be a huge mistake. He is Gallatins biggest threat and at qb he touches the ball every play. Much easier to defend at reciever.

there is no doubt #9 is a very good athelete but with him at QB all 11 defenders are keyed on him the less eyes on him the more dangerous he can be. no defense this year has had to worry about a passing game from Gallatin they focus on the run and #9. and he wont be easy to defend he is a very gifted reciever,#7 is a good QB he can run and throw.

i'm not trying to be a coach or knock Gallatins coaches just giving an opinion. I'm sure whoever starts will be ready for this region game!!!!!!

GO BIG GREEN WAVE !!!!

It doesn't matter who starts this game if we continue to tackle as poorly as we have. Defense is the key to this game. Shutting down Wisdom and the Qb will be huge. If Gallatin will hit and drop the runner, reciever, or Qb and not let the opposition get extra yardage after the initial hit then we have a shot. Hunters Lane always has great speed so sealing off the outside is a must. If it becomes a track meet then bye-bye playoffs.

At a public school you can't really do much, if anything, about the talent level. But attitude is a different story.

I keep looking for positive signs, especially on defense, but they just aren't there.

What makes this hurt me even worse, as an alumn, and former player, is that Gallatin isn't even in the toughest region. They aren't struggling to win games against Williamson County or Rutherford County. They are struggling, no FAILING MISERABLY against mediocre Metro teams. 5-5A is the Sun Belt Conference of 5A.

I was on a couple of teams that were "poor" by Gallatin standards. But we never lost to anyone that failed to make the playoffs. We never lost to a team from a lower classification. And we never lost four straight. It also just happened that those particular seasons cost the head coach his job in place for the current one. (Cookeville is now 6-2 by the way)A coach who is now going to have been at the helm to see more than one GHS team fail to make the playoffs. One of those occasion was by forfeiture I remind you. I know there are strong conflicting opinions about that situation, but the results are the results.

I am not advocating one action over the other. But if all things are equal (and of course they aren't) then the current coach would be held to the same unreasonable standard and inccur the same consequences as his predecessor. That is just a simple observation made from the outside. Replace one coach after four seasons and ZERO playoffs missed, it seems that you would replace one that has been there for nine seasons and has missed the playoffs TWICE. Or is it three times? They might have missed the playoffs in '99 or '00. ??

And before anyone responds with the "Region Championships" arguement I will refer back to the earlier paragraph. Different compitition.

Gallatin fans need to realize that they are lucky to have Coach Lassiter and his staff. They may be struggling right now, but Gallatin has one of the best and hardest working coaching staffs around. Face the truth, Station Camp is what has hurt Gallatin. Same thing that has occurred in other counties when new schools are built and divide the talent, loyalties, and support.

I think you are selectively forgetting that Riverdale has kept winning through two new schools coming online and Brentwood and Ravenwood have both won title recently despite talen being "divided". And the other poster is correct in saying that Station Camp draws more away from Beech and H'ville than Gallatin.

You are right about Riverdale, Brentwood, and Ravenwood. Although Station Camp is considered "located" in Gallatin, I can see how it draws away more from Beech and Hendersonville. I looked up the school and it's actually between Hendersonville and Gallatin, but closer to Hendersonville.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
