Will be interesting to see how Cocke County uses 6-foot freshman (Yes, I said freshman) Allie Sprouse on Friday. According to reports, she had a double-double at Claiborne County.

 

They'll need to use something to off-set the size advantage of Cherokee with their six-footer.

 

Cocke County has dropped their last 5 to the Lady Chiefs. Their last win was in the opening round of the 2005 tourney and Cherokee wilted with a chance to win the game in the final seconds.

sorry bucky, but i haven't been able to make it out to any games so far this season....but i'm with you in spirit. i'm listening to the bloodbath...er...game in dandridge on the radio right now but somehow it just isn't the same.

Greeneville seems to be rolling right now. I don't see anyone in the conference that is going to challenge them. Nicole Dickson is putting up double doubles every night and Devan Mcyntire is starting to put up some great numbers also.

 

Raiderray what happened to Jeff County and their offense? Only 23 points in the first half? And then only 18 in the second? I thought they were better than that?

No one really matches up well with Greeneville. Dickson or Collins will go off as most teams have one post that can defend well, leaving the other of the duo on the plus side of a mismatch.

 

If Greeneville's guards can score, they should be unbeatable in this conference.

East is 3-1 and in second and has two wins by 3 points and getting two wins in the final minute.

Cocke County is 1-3 and tied for fifth by losing two games by a total of 3 points and losing those two games in the final minute in very tough instances.

 

Looks like the battle is on for 2nd, 3rd and 6th place to try and avoid Greeneville as long as possible in the tournament.
