butter-bean
Thanks for the info butter bean. Did any of the football guys come out for basketball? 2 or 3 10th graders are playing - mostly jv - they may get some varsity time later in the year, who knows. When this team plays with confidence and intensity - then will be hard to beat, when they don't,,, well they don't. I was impressed with Clarksville last week, while not nearly as dominating as last years team, they have many weapons to go along with Caldwell. That being said, I still think HC competes with Clarksville when both teams play their "A" game. I have not seen NE play this year, but hear they are for real. Looked like Pats had matchup problems with the Wildcats size. I thought CHS might not have same quickness as last year but I think they maybe quicker than last years squad. Hard to know what CHS bench is like they did not get into foul trouble and I think they only made 2 subs which was the same for Pats. It will be interesting to see how Pats come off of break and play NE.

10W40
Henry County really looked dominating in their full court press at Waverly Thursday night. Especially in the second half with the clock running and the mercy rule in effect.

I look forward to seeing HC vs Northeast next week.

I don't think he got your subtle swipe at Henry Co about pressing when the game was no longer in question against a much weaker opponent

Then i''ll go with Northeast in a close game if henry co. comes to play, gotta pick em until somebody knocks em off the top then Rossview over springfield and DC smothering NW

fastcat
Hey Henry countians! I guess the "GLOVE" must not have played last night, 83 points, where is the D? I surely did not expect Henry county to get beaten down so bad by NE, I actually thought that they migth upset them. I hear from my guys at Henry that another one of those players turned in his uniform. Let me know if I am wrong, isnt that two of the better players at Herny county that has stopped playing for the coach. I remember some comments about not wanting players who have that kind of character. From what I understand, the two young men in question are fierce competitors and that this was totally out of character. I heard last summer that there was several Henry county players not very happy with the new coach last year, I heard they quit on him last season losing their last few games (not actually quitting the t eam but just not playing), and I am not tearing down the coach or anyone, but some one in Henry county needs to find out what is up. How is success measured? Is it by a nice end of the season record, is it by who you beat, is it whether you left it on the court in every game. I am not near knowledgable about any game to coach myself, however, I would assume a coach would want to be the type of coach that his players would run through a wall for.
