it was real hard leaving tyler edwards and kerry off the first team but i had too because the others deserved it.......kerry would have made it over cutter but cutter played well enough and kerry got injured during a critical stretch

It shouldnt have been hard because Tyler wasnt consistent enough to be first team all-district.............

Xavier could challenge for top honors, but assuming that Puckett or Hammonds are healthy, which I dont know if thats a safe assumption, they should be the 2 that will be the early favorites at the very least. Thats no insult to Xavier, but the other 2 are just that good. Its going to be a great year for 7-AAA next year, alot of individual talent will be growing up from most teams.

I don't think this years illness will have any affect on next year. Puckett broke his hand the same night that Hammonds broke his wrist. Sounds like a rough game but actually neither had anything to do with the other. I don't know what Hammonds other down time was but Puckett 's resistance was just down over his glucose problems and he took a virus that affected his respiratory system.

This is Pucketts first down time since he has been playing high school basketball so its not something that just happens often. Good luck to both of them next year and Good Health.

Well then that shows how much you know about the game. I would take Maupins over any point guard in the district except Cutter. He runs the offense so well and does all the little things right.

Puckett is a good ball player and we need him to play above average on both ends during tournament play if we expect to get to the state.Man his dad sure could play in the day was a force 4 spencer.

He comes from a long line of good basketball players. His Mom also was good she played Juco and his aunt Nena played for UMKS. His Grandad was an awesome player also. That is the reason he is such a good fundamental player. He knows the game and is a 4.0 student so he understands a play when it is called. Basketball is a lot mental as well as being blessed with a lot of talent.

    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
