Another fun poster!!!!!:)/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Seriously..I have not seen CPA play...they must be good, they made it to state and have a Mr. Basketball finalist as well. Have seen DC...yes they are VERY good, Mr. Basketball finalist also, immense speed, quick hands, terrific defense, outstanding shooters and one heck of a coach. Forget 32min. they could go 48 min. and still have steam left. Very unselfish team..not about one player...they work as a unit. Look forward to a heck of a game!!!!

Remember, DC beat Giles at home, while CPA beat them on a neutral court that Giles had played at several times in their district. Also, CPA had probably their worst shooting game of the season against GC (Z saved the day with a good inside game). Giles defense really didn't bother CPA - they were just cold from outside. CPA jumped out to an 11 point lead in the 1st quarter on Giles, then held on by slowing the game down and working for shots for Z since they recognized their shooting was off.

 

My guess, DC is better than Giles, but not much, so CPA and DC should be evenly matched. It's all a matter of who plays well - that team should win.

 

 

Dyer County has not played Giles Co. this year.

Well, I am disappointed that CPA and DC drew each other in the 1st round. I think they may be the best two of the eight. The winner is my favorite to win the championship. My wife and in-law are from Dyersburg and my kids go to CPA, and all are going to the game Wednesday night. It will be fun.

Actually Mason, Miller and Anderson have played against the memphis guys since 4th grade. They have all played against Justin Blake, Leslie McDonald, Elliot Williams, M.J. Brown, Johnnie Williams, Farakhan Hall, Gentry Hines, Greg Wooten, Marlon Brown just to name a few. So they do know what they are up against. Unfortunately in Nashville you do not have the advantage of playing many games against the kind of team speed DC has. To me it will be a matter of how quick they can adjust to it as to how they fare, if CPA handles the pressure then DC will have to make the adjustments. It should be a fun game to watch as well as a fun tournament to watch. The 2A tournament is loaded with talent and all good teams, each capable of winning it all.

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.

      Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
