Practice and the season is upon us. As with many others, I have issues with the program. BUT....

 

Can we get back to scouting players and positions? What do we have, in particular, linebackers and fullback?

 

 

 

We will be happy to get back to the task at hand, But the Coaches need to know the dates of the games, Scrimmages etc.

 

 

I would like to know the number of kids that came out for football this year, Does anyone have the scoop?

I can't say for sure, but I know that at a 7 on 7 I went to, there was about 35 - 40 on the field. Then on the track , the linemen were running wind sprints for conditioning and I counted around 40 there. So, my rough guess is 75 - 80 players were at that passing league game and summer work out all together.

Were the FRESHMEN out there with them also? That alone would make the numbers look higher than they may actually be for the VARSITY program.

I work across the street and my rough count is between 70 - 75 varsity. I didn't see any Freshman on the field.

I couldn't say whether that included freshmen or not. It was a 7 on 7 match and a workout for the linemen going on at the same time so someone may know whether freshmen would have participated in that or not.

My name is John Clark & I was on the field & heard your coach Stevens use profanity in anger, there were coaches, fans, kids & preachers standing near him -- It was unprofessional, uncalled for & shocking to the meek.. As for the Alumni venting on here.... remember, until the Democrats are in office-- free speech still stands, You think it's ok for Stevens to go off on the Clintonites... Why can't Ole Dad , Bounder & TnBreakers speak thier minds? Although I can't figure out what TN breakers is talking about.. But this is our forum.

Listen up Ace. Nobody on here is wishing you or Oak Ridge Football any back luck and we all want you to be successful and carry on the tradition, but many do speak the facts whether you admit that or not. I am glad to hear you are working hard and expect to win. The fans expect the same, but I would focus on my English class a little more if I were you.

You also might want to try to make sure you don't make a fool of yourself by telling a younger person to focus on their English class when you obviously didn't do too well. We can see no one's wishing our "back's" any luck so thanks for reminding us.

Thanks Council Good looking out. and to Ole Dad. look tonight is the maryvile scrimmage everyone is gonna see wat OR really has this year and on Aug 29 we'll see again when fulton comes to town. and every friday after that. i have my priorities in line but right now i'm focused on beating maryville. it's a new day for Oak Ridge football!!!!
