Alcoa vs Milan

Hey man, Don't put your twist on me..........I said all along this game will be at best a 10-14 point win for Alcoa.

Your full of it............I'm looking at the matchup and giving my take on it. You CAN NOT handle the the facts and construe them for disrespect.

I pull for UT, but many of the games this year, once I broke down the matchup, I know UT was going to loss. I told others what I thought would happen.........Never once did I say it in disrespect.

Please find where I said "the game should not be played" or implied. Tell me where I said Milan "don't have a chance"

You guys simply can dish it out all day long, but can not take a single drop of it.

You Milan fans are all cocky because Alcoa had a "close" game with Marion County. Yea, OK, we still won 30-14 and walked away from the ball on their 1 yrd line. Again a Marion County team that would probably kick Milan's west tn rear. We STILL scored more than you did against GP!

That was just the latest one. Maybe I am reading into it. Maybe you don't realize it, but there are at least 2 or 3 others where you say things like a team you beat would whip us. Again, How many times have you seen us play this year?

Reasons I believe /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

1. I support Alcoa

2. I have watched Alcoa defense play all season.

3. I live in Blount County and know what Championship Football looks like year in and year out.

4. I study the matchups and base my opinion on facts.

5. I know the history of west TN teams in the championship games from the past.

6. Alcoa, has been to the championship 4 straight years and has beat the middle TN and West TN teams that has beat Milan. Simply........we beat the teams that beat Milan the last 4 years.

7. Coaching.......Coach Rankin is no stranger to state championships.

8. Shut-outs........Alcoa has 8 shut-outs....Milan 1.

9. Alcoa's defense came close to setting a Tennessee record for least points allowed in the regular season.

10. Maryville only scored 20 points..two scores off Alcoa turnovers that where NOT the defenses fault.

10 reasons Milan WILL NOT score more than 14 points.

Huh?........"Makes it hard to read"....you mean "It makes"......... /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Na, I said it right.

Man, you imply it in every post. Does your +1 at the bottom of your post mean something else. No! You have given no team a chance against the mighty Alcoa all year.

Your really searching /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> ...............What don't you come up with facts or something about football?

Plus (+) means to add...........If I was counting on it I would have put 10 gold balls together, implying it was DONE.

9 + 1 means in the process of being added............Oh, forget it, you'd have to take your shoe off too get it........ /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I beat I can dig through your post and find where you've said Milan was going to win............and if I did would that be any different to the 9+1 gold balls that get you all mad! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

BDG03 I don't know of one single person that predicted Milan to lose until maybe last week. I for one predicted a Milan victory on Friday. Check my post out on the Milan GP thread and so did a lot of other Tornado fans. As for your schedule, I was just stating a fact. Alcoa played Maryville, which is in the 4a championship game. Alcoa also played at Whitehouse,(28-3 at whitehouse in a down pour) which barely got beat by Catholic in the 3a semifinals. So please remind me of the non region games that Milan played. Did you play anyone better than either one of those teams? Also the playoff teams you beat, their combined records were 24-21. The record of our opponents were 29-13 in the playoffs, Considerable difference. That was my point BDG03. Of course none of this matters come Friday night. Both teams will give it their all and I'm just glad you could join the party this year. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

BULLDOGGIRL03 its looks like every Milan fan looked over this post. BCsportsFan was just trying to point out a few facts. Milan schedule was weak this year. JCS & Camden was the best teams you guys played all year. Second round these teams were out of the playoffs. That tells me, they were not that good. Let me repeat your playoff opponents combined record was 24-21. The record of our opponents in the playoffs 29-13. That tells me we played better competition in the playoffs. Would you not agree? Hufstedler02, Loudon and CAK would have finished 2 and 3rd in your region this year. Don't you think Alcoa would have went undefeated if they played your schedule? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

As for the game on Friday. It should be a good one. I believe the team that makes the most plays in the passing game will win. GO TORNADOES! /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />

What? I want to stay out of this because some of my Alcoa neighbors don't care for my take on their program. But Alcoa is no Maryville! They are however among the best in many classifications and the stick that you measure a 2A team by. This year their defense may have set a school or state record in fewest points allowed. One really does not know because the T$$AA only cares about money and not keeping the record books up to date. Alcoa will beat Milan next Friday because they will score enough points to get beyond what their defense will allow. I think Alcoa will have to play 4 full qtrs, something they normally only do vs. Maryville. Maybe that is their one weakness. Good luck to both teams but I hoping Alcoa will bring another gold ball back east.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

The first Milan post implied Alcoa was weak because Marion County played them tough. I read though those post and replied with my opinion. Marion County was a great team, and I truly believe they could beat Milan!

Yes, And I think Maryville, CAK and White House would beat Milan also..........

How many championship teams have you watched this year? SERIOUSLY! Been outside of west TN?! /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />

I have two championship teams within 10 minutes of my house that I have watched win it all the last 4 straight years. Blount Counties other home is the "BORO"!

I know what championship football looks like. So, NO I have NOT watched Milan play...........I'm just happy GP was down to allow you guys to get hammered this year!

I stayed in Alcoa when my son was invited to visit UTK campus a few months ago. I believe high schoolfootball in that town is like their religion. I'm afraid if Milan wins friday night there will not be enough head doctors to go around. I can just see every 30-40 yr old beer gutted alcoa grad talking about when he made that tackle or block .......etc.....and how special it was when he and homerlean got married on the 50yrd line before the game.

Since I am a "head doctor" (soon to have two Doctorate degrees) and as an Alcoa grad and former player I will be glad to provide services free of charge, however I don't think it will be necessary. I will offer a half price special for Milan fans.

I will have to disagree with you again. It's one thing to be confident in your team, but you go way beyond. The way you talk, the game shouldn't be played. The TSSAA should just hand you the gold ball. We aren't coming for the silver one just like you are not. The difference is that most of the Milan fans would disrespect the other team. That is what you have done since the thread has started. It's not about the so called "truth" because the truth is that you don't know anything about us. You haven't seen us just as we have not seen you. Yet you know for a fact that we don't have a chance. It's not a fact, it is your opinion.

Hey huf, start making up a big ol' crow pie............I'll eat it right here on CoachT. Plus, I'll buy you a one year memebership to CoachT "IF" Alcoa losses. AND you can count on me being here bright and early to serve up your a big crow pie if Milan losses..........PLUS by gentlemen's agreement........YOU add one year to my membership AND you get one for yourself!

Deal? Put up that confidents in your team! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

BC, what you have been giving us are about 10% facts. Maryville scored less than 20 against Alcoa is a fact. "There's no way Milan scores more than 20" is an opinion, or an option as you call it in Blount county.

Booker T. Washington scored 18 points against Milan in two games is a fact. Milan scored 99 points against B.T. Washington, also a fact

"Milan is not deep enough to play 4 quarters with Alcoa"...This is an "option"

No one doubts that Alcoa is good. Really good. You don't win 4 consecutive state titles and make it to the finals trying to make it five straight without being really good. It's also true, however, that Milan is really good. Alcoa is favored, and should be favored. But at least give Milan credit. This team has done everything they have been asked to do. They have won every game they have played. No, we didn't play Maryville. If we did, I think we would have given them a game just as Alcoa did, and we would have lost just as Alcoa did. We didn't play Henry County as we have in many years past because as someone else pointed out, we only have 3 non-region games to play. Huntingdon is our biggest rivalry; Camden's coach played in Milan and for that reason that has become a rivalry game, and Booker T. Washington was our homecoming game as they were yours.

I have no problem with you confidence in you team (or "confident's" as you call it in Blount county), but don't run our team into the ground to make yours look better. Alcoa has done their bragging on the field for the past 4 years. They don't need you to help them. Milan is happy to have a shot at state. We're going to take our shot and win or loose Alcoa will know they had a game.
