What do you mean you "wish" other teams would play outside the state?

What are we out to prove? That TN high school football is as good as other states?

Who cares?!

You should go out and look for good compitition. If you want to play a school in Ohio, fine. But that doesn't really carry much weight.

This loss does not hamper BA's chances of winning a title. Nor would a win have enhanced their chances. I'm sure their going to look for ways to improve based on this game.

I'm sure that BA did "represent" TN well, but the fact is one can't guage anything from this game. It does not mean that Ohio has better football teams. It means BA's record is now 1-1. That's all.

BA isn't showing bravery or anything by playing outside TN. This isn't some kid in the playground trying to prove he's tougher than everybody else. It is high school football.

I'm all for people being proud(of TN or whatever), but this is one thing I think people take too far.

In case you're interested, here's how the game went. David Holbert, BA's Jr. RB/LB got a concussion on the first play of the game and did not returned. They really missed his size and speed in the backfield. The first quarter was fairly even, until BA fumbled on their own 40, and St. X took it in for a score. St. X dominated the rest of the first half, and BA was fortunate to be behind 14-0 at the break. They came out like a different team in the third quarter, and really started to execute well. Jefferson Adcock, BA's QB made a great scrambling dive into the end zone with 2 minutes left to make the score 21-20. St. X came up the middle on a great effort to block the final PAT attempt. A really good high school football game between two quality teams in a great atmosphere

How "legendish" to complain about the other teams depth and talent in the Tennessean. You would think that a "Legend" would have considered the fact that maybe he should have started his recruiting a little earlier before he stabbed Tom in the back. Oh well, too bad Carlton. Sometimes, I know unbelieveably, even you get out recruited!

Brentwood Acedemy learned a lot by playing St. Xavier. They learned how they mesure up with other parts of the country. If you just play all of you games in one state then you don't know if you are getting better or worse. Playing a game out of state is a good idea.

I personally loved the last TD by Brentwoods QB. That kid had some guts.

    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
    • What coach in their right mind would want to come here and set theirself on fire to keep her warm.
    • Shoulder not going to the #### show .   Macon will name the score this year.
    • Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
