MVM
My oldest son played for Ooltewah. They are always good. Great coaching and hard work always equals success. Keep up the good work boys. DBdad I posted this on another thread.....Maybe I should have posted it on this one instead. Ooltewah 0 Soddy Daisy 0 A game of two halves....Wah controlled and had the better opportunities in the first half, SD controlled and had the better go of it in the 2nd half. It was a well behaved and reffed game un-like last years brawl ...Oh sorry, I meant last years game. Both teams arm and arm with a game ending prayer was a perfect ending to a hard fought game between rivals. Great job to both teams.
CREE
Hard fought match. Small, wet field. Two GOOD Cleveland goals disallowed by not so good ref. A) i would call 115 by 65 a small field. 2) On one of the disallowed goals, the ref did say "wait till my whistle". And offsides is offsides. C) you dont see any McMinn folks commenting on the lack of PK calls. It was a typical McMinn/Cleveland match. Hard fought, physical, etc. Hats off to both teams. (Check the video) --There actually was a McMinn comment at 8:48 AM by IAAK regarding the lack of PK calls and by the way, we were taken out in the box a couple of times also which were not called. --In regard to "wait till my whistle" that was never said and it was obvious that the official in question had never heard of a quick restart. The bottom line is great match with less than optimal officiating.
superstar8
I've seen both teams play, and I am pretty surprised that it was a tie. I doubt that the refs were bias in either direction. Maybe there was a reason the ref said, wait till my whistle, if not that really stinks. And finally, with "It was not offsides because the forward never touched the ball until it had already been touched by one of your defenders." This can technically can still be offside depending on the circumstance.

owlfutbol
Must have been a great game....and one that Cleveland probably thought they should have won based on the hype. Hats off to McMinn County for a great tie. I just hate it though when fans come on making excuses and whinning when their team loses. Every game someone can say come on and blame the refs.....calls happen on both sides. --It was not offsides because the forward never touched the ball until it had already been touched by one of your defenders. MVM
As we go into week 7 this is how I've got it for the southeast area. That coaches poll what do they know. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> 1.CCS- Big wins over Hixson & the "Wah",.. Gear up Chargers Cookeville good. 2. Cleveland- A slight stumble against McMinn Co. this week,...Get over it quick, You've got Barry Redmond this weekend with some great competition. 3. McCallie- Jumps Boyd, over schedule strength. With Webb tonight...ND and Baylor this coming week. 4. Boyd- Sorry Reaction /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" I know Boyd's good, but their schedule is seriously lacking. 5. Baylor-Improving each and every week. Wait! can you hear it? McCallie, McCallie, McCallie...... 6. McMinn Co.-Brother Bobby must be a sadist with the schedule that he has put together this year. And it continues with Bearden this week. 7. Soddy-Daisy- Better get Maximo points against Red Bank this week, because you're tied w/ "the WAH" for the district. 8. Hixson- Tough week last week, but should not have a problem getting back on track w/ games against Walker Valley, and S.Mtn. 9. Ooltewah- Couple of words.....Central and goal differential 10.East Ridge- They have been up and down all year long.....So I've got them up for this week. 10. Sequatchie Co.- I can hear it now...MVM, have you lost your mind? No, I say! This team plays with heart and a real love for the game. Last year they didn't come close to winning a game. This year their (3-6-1).... You've come along way, Baby. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Cleveland didn't "lose" and since you are known as "owlfutbol" I suspect you were watching Ooltawah and not in McMinn county to witness it for yourself. There is a difference between "whining" and the facts being stated. Once again, taking nothing from McMinn County, they played a great, hard fought match, but facts are facts regarding the officiating.

MVM
Sequatchie took a step backward against East Ridge, 8-0 loss. Yea I saw that...but that still doesn't take away the progress that they have made this year. And I wanted to give them some props for their effort. You gotta love teams that play with heart and for the sheer love of the game.
