Again Nichols HAS 3 YEARS at QB. Sellars randomly started, Cantrell started some as well, and then Nichols took over, so, that means Nichols saw time under center that year and that gives him 3 YEARS at QB.

No, you are TOTALLY wrong Mr. Longhornshookem. In 2006, Spencer Cantrell started the first and third games against Lincoln County and Ravenwood respectively. Sellers started the second game against Oakland. They both struggled a bit in these starts and the other took over in the second half. Sellers then started the fourth game against Father Ryan and became the first QB that year to make it through the entire game. SELLERS then started EVERY game the rest of the season. Graham did come into each game, but it was usually in the 4th quarter. The only exceptions of this was the second half of the Independence game when Sellers went out with an injury, and the third quarter of the playoff game against Hendersonville, Sellers did return in the 4th. These ended up being the only games Franklin lost that year.

So, Nichols only graduated with two years of varsity starter experience at QB. If you don't believe me, go to the Franklin football website, http://www.franklinfootball.com, and check the game recaps for 2006. You can tell by the stats and the write-ups who the starter was for each game.

Not to be dogging Graham. He did a great job his junior and senior year. He is a great young man and a talented player, and I hope he gets a chance to start at UTC. We are just a little sick and tired of the fact that a lot of people forget that Ramsey was THE starting QB at FHS in 2006 and he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Especially considering how good he did for such young player, and how successful the team was with a young QB.

Oh, as for what a 15 year old QB can and can't do. Sellers was 15 in 2006 and was able to led the team in touchdowns (which he could only do if the was the STARTER, Mr. Longhorn) and was second in rushing yards. And, he helped led his team to their first district title in about a decade. So, maybe people should give the young sophmore Kuivinen some more time before they try to write him off. It's only been ONE game. Sellers and Nichols struggled early in 06 and 07 respectively and look how they turned out. They are both playing D-I college football. Nichols at UT-Chattanooga and Sellers at Tennessee Tech (not as a QB though. will probably be a two-way athlete at TE and LB).

Ok I will give you that... but Graham did see time and he lettered that year. Soooooooooooo, that is 3 years of EXPERIENCE!!!! Also, the reason why Ramsey did so well was because Clayton was using him as another tailback just lined up at QB. Sellers best spot was on defense, as he showed his senior year, when he tore through on blitzes and really changed the defense for the better. Sellars was a great utility player and could play anywhere on the field, but he struggled with decisions in the passing game looked like.

To me it smells like another parent (tenn9fan), maybe one from the past. Sort of like Wilcofootball!!!

CONGRATS REBELS!!!! I KNEW YALL COULD DO IT!!!! Now for the Cougars.... hey fbforme this one is at home buddy!!!!

Franklin Rebels 31

Christian County Colonels 14

Franklin improves to 2-0

Just curious if any Franklin fans went to this game and if so, what did you think about Christian Co.?

I went to the Indy v Oakland game Friday night. Oakland will dismantle CC, KY. It will not even be close.

Did Christian Co. graduate that much talent?

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
