I have been looking up some of these schools you guys have been talking about very impressive facilities. I really like The Castle at Tennessee High well at least from the aerial view that I saw. I saw some of the highlights from the Gatlinburg-Pittman vs. Oneida game, GP looks to be a nice place for a game.

Greeneville is a nice place to go play. Anywhere you go in the tri-cities is most likely nice places to go play. That is just a football breathing region... Sevierville is also nice but the only thing unatractive there is the huge dome shape the field seems to have. it may just look bad to me because ive never seen a field like that. I also like Knox Catholic as well as Farragut or however you spell it lol.

As far as appearance of the field and the seating, it's hard to beat Sullivan South. The stone castle is nice to see from the outside but the inside seating and field conditions aren't very good. Greeneville has a nice stadium but the lights need to be fixed. If Dobyns-Bennett would fix the visitors seating, it would be one of the better places in the state.

Its hard to beat South Stadium other than not having much parking on Visitors side so it forces people to walk around the track. The field and seating have always been the best but I could be bias lol

Stone Castle is unique but I remember playing on the field and didnt much care for it at all with that crown and seems like their is kind whole at one part of the field that sinks down.

Knoxville West had a nice facility but it was overflow crowd on Visitors side of bleachers.

Sullivan North has a nice stadium with great lighting and seating on both sides. I agree with you Rebel DB could have one of the best in region if it wasnt for the horrible seating arrangements especially for visitors.

I have to admit the worst one I have ever been to is up in Cloudland several years ago in their hay day.

What few bleachers they had at the time were on one side and concrete was cracked and coming apart in certain areas and the lighting on field wasnt much.

Now I will post a couple of pics for you guys to see some of the good ones up here and some of the not so good. Believe me I am not tooting Ohio's horn at all.

This is Huron Tiger Stadium, nice place to watch a game. Lucky for them a huge indoor waterpark resort donated $650,000 to the project and thus a new field for the Tigers.

Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium is where Massillon Washington High School plays, but also where 3 Divisions of State Championships are held every year. I have also posted their new indoor practice facility thanks to a deep pocket alumni.

Canton Fawcett Stadium. Home to numerous Canton public and parochial schools as well as two small colleges I believe. The other 3 divisions in football state championships are held here just up the road from Massillon. The picture can you fool you though, this place is not fun to watch a game unless its for a state championship.

Parma Byers Field - Home to numerous high schools and playoff games. This place is a total dump and I would not be sad one bit to see a bulldozer go right through the place

Steubenville Harding Stadium- Now I have never been to this place but everyone raves about it and from the pictures I can see why. I do know that Steubenville loves their football and has a great tradition.

Sandusky Stroebel Field, Home of the Sandusky Blue Streaks. Very very very old stadium. I could not find a picture of the home side. This place is very outdated but has a ton of history within the walls.

The Pit home to Cincinnati Elder. Never been here but I like the horseshoe shape pretty unique.

Martins Ferry Alumni Stadium - Home to the Martins Ferry Purple Riders. This place is probably my all time favorite and I have not even been to the place. I love the setting in the hills of Southern Ohio.

These are just a few good ones and bad ones. If you guys have pics please please please share them.

These are some very nice stadiums. Cincinnati Elder's football stadium looks like mini version of "The Shoe" at Ohio State in Columbus. The last stadium stadium pic was in a really nice setting. Texas has some really nice stadium facilities!!!

I judge High School stadiums by two things.

1) atmosphere

2) The ability to actually watch the football game

And I know that I am biased (in many degrees) but despite its many flaws I thoroughly enjoy a game at Franklin High School's Howard Gamble Stadium. I love how you can literally stand right outside the boundaries of the 15 yard line all the way around the end zone. Most high schools have the track blocked off, but Franklin allows you to stand on the track, and on the field. Not only does this make watching the game more enjoyable but it also adds to the vibe of the game, and the overall flow of the stadium. To me (and this is my personal opinion) I think there is nothing better than a close game in the4th quarter against IHS, BHS, or RHS and both stands are packed and the end-zone are lined with people hanging on every second of every play. There is nothing quite like it.

Here are a couple more I found:

Ironton Tanks Stadium- Home of the Ironton Tigers. Very very very old stadium with a ton of history. I love the covered stands very unique to high school football.

Dublin Scioto Stadium - Home of the Scioto Irish. Typical affluent high school with turf

Cincinnati Colerain Stadium - Home of the Colerain Cardinals. Newer field they made it unique with the off color green every five yards.

Crater Stadium- Home of the Dover Tornadoes. Very nice facility their rivalry with the New Philadelphia Quakers is one of the oldest in the state.

Grove City Stadium - Home of the Grove City Greyhounds. Very sad situation in this school district and other Grove City schools. Voters did not pass a levy to increase money needed for the schools. Therefore all sports were done away with, no kid should have to go through something like that.

And a few more......

Piqua Alexander Stadium - Home of the Piqua Indians. Very new stadium, host many playoff games.

Troy Memorial Stadium - Home of the Troy Trojans. Their Rivalry with Piqua I think is the oldest in the State of Ohio.

Wildcat Stadium - Home to the Mogadore Wildcats. Mogadore has a rich football history and tradition. They are in the playoffs every year and usually make some noise when in them.
