Yes, I do "have usually have" comments. I see we're all human. This is a "football" blog, and we should not throw personal insults around.

I don't even know what this means. There weren't any personal insults. I was just wondering why the Millington fans were so quiet this week.

 

I am referring to your post on 25 Oct. calling Millington fans uneducated idiots. :blink:

Here's the deal....Cam is on the money about the o line. Yes the Trojans have struggled this year but they are still a dangerous team that can beat a lot of people if they are clicking on all cylinders. Yes they can beat Arlington and the coaches at Arlington know that we are capable of it. They will have to play one of their best games.

Now...it is obvious the Trojans are a little down this year from what they have been in the past...so if Arlington happens to beat us, I dont think any middle or west Tn. teams are going to be intimidated.The Trojans have some guys right behind this group that is going to rattle some teeth the next few years....big talent!!!! So you fella's whose kid is a senior, we will probably never hear from you again after the next couple of weeks, if your kid is a junior or sophomore (look out Arlington...lot of Sr.s leaving) you will have tough road to hoe against the Trojans the next year and the following. Me, I'm vested here with some blood of my own and you will see me for the next few years here.

Nice comedy, I guess you saw the wide open offense that won the 5A state Championship last year?????

Double tight, 3 backs in the backfield, smash you in the face football= 5A State Champion

 

I am not sure if you know this but it is typically better players that win games.

It's Week 10 and its put up or shut up for some teams trying to get a WC spot. Some games are for seeding purposes. This is my look at what I think to be the 'Big Games in Memphis ... Week 10'.

 

 

Division I

 

District 14:

 

Arlington (6A, 9-0, 5-0) @ Millington (6A, 5-4, 4-1) [The winner is the top seed from District 14 in 6A]

 

Cordova (6A, 5-4, 3-2) @ Bolton (6A, 4-5, 1-4) [The winner could possibly get in a WC selection in 6A]

 

Craigmont (5A, 7-2, 3-2) @ Bartlett (5A, 3-6, 2-3) [The winner is the representative from District 14 in 5A]

 

 

District 15:

 

Ridgeway (5A, 3-5, 2-3) @ Kirby (6A, 4-5, 4-2) [both are in the post season regardless ... entertaining to watch though]

 

District 16:

 

Whitehaven (6A, 8-1, 4-1) @ Melrose (5A, 5-4, 4-1) [both are in the post season ... a win helps WH's seeding possibly ... Whitehaven can not host a 1st round game regardless of winning or losing because of the H2H with WSH ... will be a highly entertaiing game however ... bragging rights are on the line] {Let's hold the fort on the WH not hosting comment because they may be able to host a first round game if they win ... stay tuned!}

 

White Station (6A, 9-0, 5-0) vs Mitchell (5A, 7-2, 3-2)@ Whitehaven [Again ... both are already in the post season and neither a win nor a loss affects their seeding ... Another highly entertaining Distrcit 16 game with bragging rights on the line]

 

 

Division II

 

Class A

 

SBEC (A, 5-4, 5-3) @ FACS (A, 7-2, 4-2) [both are in the post season ... this is for seeding]

 

Class AA

 

MUS (AA, 9-0, 2-0) @ Briarcrest (AA, 6-3, 1-1)

 

My picks are as follows:

 

Arlington is still proving everybody was wrong about them ............... 17 - 14

Cordova wins a toss-up game .................................................... 28 - 21

Craigmont is just the better team ............................................... 28 - 7

Kirby in a shoot-out at the OK Corral ........................................... 35 - 28

Whitehaven has the defense to win ............................................. 28 - 14

White Station wins an offensive battle ......................................... 35 - 28

FACS slows down the SBEC qb enough to win ................................ 21 - 14

MUS has it won by halftime and cruises ........................................ 35 -7

 

 

That's it for me. How do you guys pick

 

My picks:

 

Arlington- 21

Millington- 10

 

Both are solid teams. Arlington has proved to me that they are a very good team; Millington, a good team.

 

Cordova- 24

Bolton- 10

 

Cordova should prove to be more physical and athletic than Bolton.

 

Craigmont- 28

Bartlett- 0

 

Same as previous game, but worse.

 

Ridgeway- 20

Kirby- 18

 

Ridgeway may be better suited for the conditions.

 

Whitehaven- 28

Melrose- 20

 

Whitehaven has better athletes and more of them this year. They will have a physical advantage. This Melrose team just does not have enough talent on the offensive side of ball to beat this Whitehaven team. Plus, Melrose is undisciplined, has a poor kicking game, and is not a well-coached team. But, if Whitehaven tries to get too fancy on offense and Melrose's defensive shows up big, look for the upset- remember heart and emotion still matter in football and this Melrose team still has plenty of that. With the experience that Whitehaven's coaching staff got from the White Station loss, the CBHS win, and the Mitchell win, they should have their young men well prepared for this game.

 

I'll also take Whitehaven's band in a blow-out.

 

White Station- 28

Mitchell- 22

 

Mitchell matches up well against White Station, should be a competitive game. In the end, I just see White Station finding a way to get the win.

 

I'll take Mitchell's band by a very slim margin.

 

SBEC- 20

FACS-6

 

MUS- 37

Briarcrest- 17

 

This game will not be as close as the score will reflect.

      And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…

      Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.

      Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.

      After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.

      Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
