There's probably a simple explanation for this, like taking turns every year, but why would a team that would receive a higher seed in a quad, as would Clinton over S. South, have to travel to South if they're the ones coming out when the two quads meet up? Taking turns doesn't make sense like it used to when the teams knew which region they went against in the first round. Now, we've got no such set match-ups.

In odd numbered years if both teams have the same seed, the top team in the bracket will host. The vacated win, however, will now mean that if Clinton and South are the only two teams remaining out of quads 1 and 2, Clinton will have to go to Death Valley.

south will win first round... south 28 powell 21....... than season over.... south cb's arnet any good they get burnt every game... south dont play the best players ,,,, i know of 2 corners that 11th grade that dont play and they are better corners than what south plays... but see south dont play boys from sullivan middle school... its always been that way... maybe the sullivan boys should go to east or north if they want playing time.......gl rebels it been a good run.... next year we want win 5 games........

Not really. It is vacated as opposed to forfeited so that the teams who have beaten the losing team, in this case Halls, aren't penalized because of Clinton using an ineligible player in a game that they weren't involved in. Head to head should always be the deciding factor whenever possible in playoff determinations, and not something that one of the teams couldn't control.

 

I dog the guys at the TSSAA when they screw up, but I have to give them credit for getting this decision correct.

Powell-14 That's right after the loss to Tn High the boy's will be out for blood. And for next year I believe we will be better than we are this year....not that we have a bad team this year...and its not over yet we might just go along way. I believe if we see Tn High again you will see a different outcome. Go Rebels...its a new season starting friday night!!!!!

This is a really tough matchup for Powell. SS will be hard to beat after they lost to Tenn. High last week. This game could get ugly in a hurry.....i say SS 41- Pow 14. Good luck to both teams!
