sounds like i missed a good one this weekend and sadly i'll miss another one this friday as well. work calls, i answer.

as for the folks wanting to know about food in Paris, i've never been a fan of catfish so i can't suggest anything to you. all i can say is show up the last Friday of April.

no offense to anyone on this board who may like or be related to those who own Trollingers, but that place is disgusting. i'd rather die than eat their "bbq" if you can call it that.

restaurant choices (outside of fast food) in Paris is limited, so tailgating isn't a bad idea.

RRR!!!

Do you honestly believe that me telling stats and strengths of Henry County will give Gallatin an edge? Coaches know this. This is the playoffs. No frills anymore - Over 2 months of football have been played. All of the secrets and strengths and weaknesses are out of the bag. Gallatin has film of HC, just as HC has film of the Green Wave. Both teams have experience coaches who know better than to get scouting reports off of a website given by non-coaches. What I say will have no bearing on the outcome of the game.

Do I believe you telling stats and strengths of HC will give Gallatin an edge? YYYESSS I DO!!!! Do you see ANY other playoff team offering game stats, team stats, starting lineups, or injury reports on their threads?..NO!! I didn't say anything on earlier posts because I thot that a Patriot fan and poster would have more sense...furthermore...the novel you wrote in regards to our injured receiver was more than just "a little over the top"!! It's obvious that you have some good intel....and that's fine....what's not fine is the fact that you are reporting it on Coacht for the entire world to view! Let me ask you REDSWARM....would anyone at Springfield known that we had a young man enter the hospital Thursday night of last week had YOU not reported on Coacht?? Can you not tell that GWAVE1 is just bating you to add more of your info? It is true that we have film on Gallatin and they have film on us...this is true because the coaches actually meet and trade it out each Saturday morning! Then, coaches routinely call around to other coaching friends to see if they can obtain more film other than the usual 2 game films that are traded! Common sense tells you, the team with the most film and scouting reports on the other, tends to have an advantage.....TRUST ME when I say that COACHES searching the posts can tell the difference on here between a casual fan and an informed BLABBER MOUTH!! Just PLEASE cool it until FRIDAY!!! Go BIG RED!

All of the Patriot's stat's can be viewed at http://www.parispi.net/articles/2009/11 ... a6dfc46864

when article pulls up click on home page. then local sports. scroll down to PATS STATS.

Not that it really matters since we are in the playoffs. It just gives the casual fans a chance to see who the top players are on this HC team. We aren't playing fantasy football so stat's really serve no other purpose than to see what has occured.

Great post! We all know anything can happen on any given Friday night...stats or no stats. It's high school football.

Get em' Green Wave.

I vote for Cindy's Catfish on 79 (on the right) before crossing the bridge at the lake.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Knott's Landing closed? Matt's Pub on 79 serves fish and a variety of adult beverages. Ann and Dave's in Lakeway Village shopping center on the left as you are coming into Paris has good fish on their buffet. About 2 blocks farther toward town is the Fresh Market with a well rounded menu that includes fish. About 3/4 mile farther at the light where you turn to go to the stadium is The Hungry Wolf with excellent barbecue and fish.

GO BIG RED

I will go up to the high school tommorow chat with the coaches look at the scouting reports and i would probly know 98% of what anybody could tell me on here. I have no problem tellin any stats or any injuries from Gallatins side because were just a bunch of fans that get on here and talk about football. I would be willing to bet that coaches dont find much if anything on this website they dont already know about the opponent for that week.

I will say that this will be a tough game for the Green Wave! Henry County is on a mission, and it showed on Friday against the Jackets. Those Patriots were hitting like crazy. I still think if the fumble for a TD, bobbled punt on the 2 yard line, and the strange muff punt rule the game would have been 28 to 14. However, that is in the past, and give Henry County all the credit in the world. That is a very good football team.

Can someone tell me what the rule is against a muff punt being returned? I recall three games that the Jackets muffed punts and teams returned the ball in those games without the ball being called dead at contact. The Jackets lost muff punts returned against Clarksville High, Greenbrier, and Northwest. The officials did not call those games dead, but in the game Friday 1 punt hit a Patriot in the back and was returned for a TD and the other hit a Patriot in the chest and it was also returned for a TD. Why did those two plays not count? Just wondering!

The returner has to have possesion and fumble to return it. If the ball just touches the return team player it can't be advanced, like an onside kick. The same thing happend to Gallatin a few yrs back we played hville and returned a muffed punt for a TD and it was ruled dead from where we recovered it.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
