I don't know if the Sports Animal puts interviews on their website but John and Jimmy had about a 30 minute interview with his dad on Tursday or Friday of last week. His dad said this was something he has wanted to do ever since Fulmer was fired, I think his dad coerced him to stay through last year. His dad also said that Aaron has and is battling depression and just is not happy and feels as if he belongs somewhere else. They ask where he might end up and David said that he really didn't know but that he had always loved North Carolina. This kid did not get to go through a recruiting process, it was known since he was 12 or 13 where he would go to school and his family was so close to the Fulmer's, David said in the interview that the two families had dinner together about once a week, then you get in school and red shirt your first year and then the coach gets fired. He has probably had a lot going through his mind the last year. He will play wherever a team needs him but from the interview I was left feeling like Aaron might not be ready to give up on the tight end position. Jimmy asked David about this and he kind of hem-hawed around and really never answered it but he did say that Aaron was listed at 287 lb last year and that he never weighed an ounce over 275 lb and that may be stretching it. He said this in reference that Aaron could shed some pounds pretty easily if he went somewhere and they wanted him to play TE. Good luck to him where ever he goes, I know this has been really difficult on the family.
