Your grandfather is a wise man.I drive down the turnpike on the paved roads of o.r. and beyond to see all the rotting government buildings with doe cleanup crews and old rusty state championship signs.Dying so sad.

I hear you... Where do you all keep yours? State titles that is.. We looked at the trophy case up there to no avail.. We didn't even see the cow tipping or tractor pull trophys....Are these put up in another barn?

I meant you should not lose another game. Just looking at your sched, you all should take the state with ease.. No kidding.. With the coaching staff you all have plus the talent on the field you can't go wrong.

Well, you might have forgotten about the spankin they took from DB. The game should have been a 35-0 shutout. Just saying. So what do you think about the Tribe?

Coach Stevens 1-1

Coach Blade 0-1

Considering OR has played one game to date, maybe not a fair comparsion. Here's the problem I have, before the Farragut game, all I heard was how OR was going to beat Farragut because Farragut wasn't that good and lost more returning starters than OR. This was the first time I saw OR since the Austin East Scrimmage, which I thought they looked pretty good. Here's the question I must ask, where is the player development? I understand OR had some injuries, BUT if Blade is developing players at the rate some posters claim, where are those players? Bladerunner - you seem to deflect every question asked of you. I have excepted the players as a whole are not that talented, when are you? If I remember correctly, you were the one who said Blade WILL make a difference. The schedule has been put on a silver platter for him. I thought Farragut ran up and down the field on the Wildcats but couldn't finish. It's reflected in the stats. Play calling was horrible, especially in overtime. Kids techniques were awful. Maybe the players move had something to do with it, but why would anyone move players around the week of the first game considering they have been working hard since November.

Back to a last year question, Bladerunner, feel free to answer. As of now, who is the worst coach in OR history? Hint: Coaching record.

Can anyone tell me what poster made this quote? "Coach Stevens is the worst coach in Oak Ridge history, look at his record."

You are wasting your time jedave30. Bladerunner will NEVER answer a question whose answer he does not like. He loves to criticize and run his mouth, but avoids the tough questions. In fact, as I said, he avoids ALL questions unless he likes the answer. Player development is supposed to be at an all time high. I just don't see it. It's easy to sit back and bash Stevens. Bladerunner ONLY comments on the EASY things. Stevens earned some of his bashing, but what's the point? We are supposed to have the best coach in our history and he is a master player developer. If true, it's time to see some evidence of both. OR has slipped into mediocrity, and it's hard to continue blaming this on Stevens.

Jed,

I never stated we would run over Farragut.. I did not go to the game but I was told tht we lost in OT?? This is just hearsay... Did Farragut blow Oak Ridge out? According to Bounder, He stated they looked about even..According to my OR clan.. They said to same thing.. two "Ok" teams playing each other.

What did i miss?

Did Blade assault a Farragut coach?

Did the pads come up missing?

What about the Knife?

If Stevens was the Coach we would have lost by two scores JMO

and Jed I really don't care if you and Jethro like it or not.

If given the same amount of time if Blade's record is the same as Stevens I will agree with you.. You can deveolp players all day long but it needs to translate to wins at Oak Ridge. JMO

"Jed"

Why don't you post your real name "Coach"

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
