Oak Ridge looks real good in the 7 on 7 scrimmages. I don't see Farragut beating them this year. The line will tell the tell?

Where are all the Farragut faithful? Usually they would be all indigent and really telling everybody that would listen how they will tame the Mighty Wildcats!

Farragut will be alright this year. The QB is more of a runner first then pass and he can run then what Faragut is used to with Browning. The whole line comes back besides one guy and same with the running backs beside Purity. Defense needs to step up from the scrimmage I saw in the spring. OR better not over look the Big Blue it will be close not the usually blow away.

I don't know enough about either team to make a good guess. From what I have seen so far, Oak Ridge should be stout on defense. I am a little worried about the offense. I thought we peaked last season at the Anderson County game and didn't get any better. We still have a lot to prove when it comes to scoring on better than average defenses. With that said, we have a lot of talent that I am excited to watch this coming season. When is the first scrimmage?

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
