  1. 1. Who will win this one?!

The Cats have changed personnel in 12 of the 22 starting positions (excluding kickers) in the last couple of weeks. Facing the Ads with these kind of changes is a huge challenge to start the season. If it works out, it'll look like brilliant coaching.

17-14 Wildcats.

And no matter what, win or lose, I'm sure Opie will continue to show us what the south end of a north bound mule looks like.

Nole, fill us out-of-towners in. What's up with that many changes that close to kickoff?

Sure, I tell you and some lurker uses it as a scouting report. But seriously, many factors came into play. Some info I know is true and some are rumors. Many of the positions are being filled by players who were starters at other positions, so it is somewhat just guys moving around. What really started the ball rolling was injury or illness to a couple of players. Player A moves to player B's position leaving player A's position open. C moves to A's leaving C's open. Some of it has to do with getting pounded in scrimmages. The staff saw where we were weak and moved players around to minimize the weakness. Maybe just one was benched for lack of performance. Coach Blade seems to believe in putting the best players on the field instead of just putting a player's backup in the games.

I have to trust the coaches. Outside of Quarles, I have never seen a coach make such a difference in a game than Coach Blade does. For what its worth, tonight, Coach Rosser is officially the Offensive Coordinator.

Another Coach who has proved he can Adjust is Coach Rankin as well.

You all are the best team I have ever seen..great .game. I bet you all will go undefeated and will win the State for sure..

Nope we certainly won't be undefeated, since we've already lost. In fact, we probably won't finish with a very good record this year. However, no matter what else happens this year,we will still have 5 in a row over the Mildcats!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
