NeWbLuE
Well yet another "not so good" showing for District 10... JB had a dominating 35-6 win against Cascade ER seems to have mailed it in and it's only week 2; lost to CC 48-6(83-6 in 2 games) Houston Co. keeps racking up numbers in the right hand column falling to Waverly 52-26. They did manage 26 points so that's a positive. McEwen gets blasted by a very good Wayne Co. team 40-0. Not surprising but you'd hope they could do a little better right? CA barely falls again...the story of CA the past few years. close but no cigar And maybe the surprise of the week...NCS over Ezell 21-14! Congrats to the Eagles on their first win of the season. The District standings are now: 1. JB (1-0) 2. WHH (1-0) 3. NCS (1-1) 4. Houston Co. (0-2) 5. CA (0-2) 6. McEwen (0-2) 7. ER (0-2) Wow NCS that surprises me too because Ezell beat a good Eagleville(who got votes to be top 10 in AP poll) team last week and then promptly gets the beatdown by NCS go figure. Maybe Ezell came into that game thinking they "had it easy this week"! Makes you wonder if NCS is improving. Heck by the time JO Byrns plays em in the last game of the season they could be a POWERHOUSE. Could a coach make the difference, we will see. Good luck this week 10 A. Is East Robertson playing this week. Who has byes?

youthsportsPIX
NCS has improved a lot and should be taken seriously this year. With a big powerful running back #17 and a very fast scat back #33 makes for a good tag team in their back field. Their QB is tough who can also run the ball while also having a decent arm. Probably the best receiver in the mid state #19 who is their kicker who 7 out of ten times puts in the end zone, also field goal kicker good from 40 yards and in. #19 is also the kick off returner, punt returner, and routinely leads the team in tackle son defense. NCS has a core group of 6 or 8 players that when healthy may be able to compete with Joe Burns this year. Now they have only won 2 games this year and it is early but they look much better this year than last and basically have the same team as they only lost 2 seniors from last year. The correct spelling is Jo Byrns. They will have to improve a lot to catch up from being beat 41-0 in 2009.

Agreed although much improved and a chance to finish in the top 2 of the district JB is on a whole other level than the rest of the district and will be until someone proves they can play with them because right now they are one of the best teams in the state. Thanks for the reply. I am a dyed in the wool JB fan but we still have a lot of work to do to prepare for each game before we can be considerd one of the best in the state. NCS has come a long way though. They are definately in the hunt to make a deep run in the district. With only two garranteed spots in the district advancing it would be a hoot for both teams with the auto bids to be 1A.

PLAY10A
Congratulations to NCS Coach Jeff Brothers & the entire team for a big win over Zion tonight. Any word on Knobloch's injury on the last play of the game?
