Ford walked on this year at Vandy after not playing as a freshman. He actually had a pretty good camp for someone who hasn't played in year.

Byrge has been a walk-on wr at Vandy for 2.5 or 3 years, not really sure exactly. You are correct, that he did not play football in HS, he played golf. I don't see how that really matters here, he's on the team at VU.

My mistake, you are right. I just assumed that Charlie, having not played at all in high school, and not being a tremendous athlete from what I can recall, would not be on the team at Vandy... that seems odd to me, but congrats to him.

And Reggie deserves to be out there I hope he can stay healthy and have a great career

I need to post Baylor's players that I can think of. There are more...and please add if I leave anyone out. At one time last year Baylor had 2 starters on offense for the University of Tennessee...Kevin Cooper and Jacques McClendon. Then added a third in Devon Mathis who filled in in great fashion in kicking for the Vols last in the season.

Baylor School:

Kevin Cooper - Tennessee

Sam Williams - Columbia University in New York

Austin Elrod - UTC

Michael Trundle - UTC

Wesley Idlette - Carson Newman

McClain Still - University of the South (Sewanee)

John Cofer - Centre College

Brett Murray - William and Mary

Sorry, if I left out someone. Please add for me if it did.

H.R. Greer of SBEC is a scholarship player at Ole Miss. He's a RS Soph and got his first meaningful snaps last week at fullback.

I do see Charlie Bryant from FACS on the Memphis roster and he played a good bit at DT last year and started several games. I suspect he's on scholarship.

There are several kids alone on the Memphis roster from SBEC, FACS, Bishop Byrne, and CBHS that are all walk-ons but sounds like y'all are looking for scholarship players?

USJ, FACS, Harding, and ECS are all represented on the Rhodes College roster. SBEC has a player on the Mississippi College roster.

Joe had a significant amount of playing time against Florida. Congrats to him. Shows walk ons do get a chance.

Joe spent two years at Webb before moving to McCallie... sure hated to see him leave because he was an outstanding player for Webb those two years. Really proud of him getting significant playing time against Florida!

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
