OwlBooster, I will come clean. that was the best attempt at trolling I have done to date. I got what I was looking for.

Last season we had to listen to all you 901'ers snack cake the F5 for whatever reason you could see fit. (Rankin this...schedule that...) Now the glove is on the other foot and you can't hack it.

Yeah I missed a playoff game prediction in Mississippi. Thought Madison had something but was wrong when I saw them play Clinton last year at Clinton.

But I did not miss the prediction that Alcoa would roll through their schedule last season and guess what? They will this year too.

About the Bowl game that BC was talking about??

It is true. Two year deal, you play Alcoa one year and Maryville the next...and get paid to do so.

$3500? Free??

Everyone was tossing Little Debbies at Maryville up until last season as well....If anyone wants a part of Blount County Football...Now is your chance. But neither of us are traveling, You gotta do it here!

The first of the bowl games will be played at Maryville....

You are so delusional. You know you can hit a few keys and see EVERY post I have ever made. I have NEVER said ONE NEGATIVE THING about the Alcoa football team nor has anybody else in my area code. You Kool Aid drinking fans denying the truth about your schedule and your coach is another thing. As far as your prediction about Alcoa rolling through their schedule - you think that makes you smart? The perfect record is a given, especially after you beat Maryville. I don't know anybody who would disagree with that!

Your problem is you couldn't hack that almost the entire universe last year thought MUS was better than Alcoa. And this year, after you go undefeated again beating up all those little 3A teams, if BA or Oakland or Smyrna go undefeated, the same thing will happen again and it make you even crazier. And for the record,

I personally never said MUS was better than Alcoa or predicted the outcome of a matchup. Only a few dared to do that when you started your BS site and none of them were from around here. Say Alcoa in 901 and most people think of aluminum.

And what does it say about your CHARACTER when you go "trolling" the DII and 6A sites trying to pick a fight, to change the subject from the one listed to Alcoa over and over again. Childish. Pathetic.

Why are there no takers for a Blount County Bowl Game ? Surely MBA , MUS , & BA would want some of that , at least worth talking about , don't you think guys ? No knock on MUS , but a 2 year Bowl series involving MBA , BA , Maryville & Alcoa would be off the Charts and receive National attention .

I'd much rather talk about something like this than using Algebra , Trigonometry , and a Slide Rule as a way to get out of playing Alcoa !! :roflol:

the Real truth is Alcoa and Maryville will host a Blount County Bowl in week O to help obtain teams for the next couple of years. The list of DII's has already been called with NO takers....MUS said their schedule was already full. So, you keep spewing the Rankin's not going to play the DII's lie....but it very apparent who's dodging who!!

So, if I get your drift, you're saying that MUS or any other team who says they can't come to Blount County to play Maryville or Alcoa in week 0 because their schedule is full is LYING and DODGING??? That's pathetic. MUS and CBHS are founding members of the Bridges Classic in Memphis, played in week 0. The games are played at MUS and CBHS. That's not going to change because you want a shot at boosting your ego. You know, if we called Alcoa and Rankin said "sorry, our schedule is full," we, unlike you, would have the CLASS to accept that as the truth.

One last thing, on another thread having NOTHING to do with Alcoa (typical), that you recently thrust yourself into, you became enraged when you thought I had pegged you as an Alcoa fan rather than a Maryville fan. OK. Then why do you have "ALCOA TORNADOES"..."11 State championships"...all those gold balls etc. at the end of every one of your posts? And you freak when somebody thinks you just might be an Alcoa fan? Schizoid.

There definitely is a Blount County Bowl. I definitely believe you all. It makes perfect sense.

Also, I'm a Nigerian Prince writing from a prison cell in Nigeria. If either Pepvol or BCsportsfan could help me, I just need a cashiers' check for $500,000. I will happily give you a million dollars if you could just advance me the initial $500k so I can escape from prison. No strings attached. This is a RISK FREE WAY TO MAKE A MILLION DOLLARS!!!

Just send me the check and we can arrange details when I get to the states.

MUS is not the team they were last year. They got beat by South Panola Tigers and Olive Branch Quistors who are two 6A teams out of Mississippi. MUS beat both of them last year but not this year.

MUS does not have a great or necessarily a good team every year. S Panola is one of those rare exceptions. When Alston had a team in the making that could compete with S Panola, he hooked up. (As you may have gleaned from the migratory vermin that crawled onto this thread, MUS should have traveled 500 miles to Alcoa but instead "dodged" the Tornadoes out of cowardice). LOL. Unfortunately, they couldn't arrange to play in 2008 and 2009 (the 2008 team was arguably better than the 2009) when both games would have been competitive. As for Olive Branch, they won in 2007, when Brunetti et al were sophomores, but not in 2008 and 2009. This year's game could have gone either way. S Panola is in a class by themselves, which is not uncommon for them. MUS will be competitive with them less often than not. Nobody who knew anything about these teams gave MUS much of a chance against SP this year. Rightfully so.

As I wrote on the other thread on the D2 board, MUS' victory over S. Panola might be the most impressive win ever for a TN team over an out-of-state opponent. Among all of the impressive out-of-state victories amassed by TN D2 teams--BA over Pascagoula, MBA over Moeller, Bolles, Trinity, etc.--this is probably atop the list. Anyone who wants to disparage that victory is simply embarassing themselves (but that won't stop them).

As for Alcoa/Maryville, whatever fairy tales they want to spin, who cares? Maryville hasn't even won the past 2 years and we (MUS and MBA) own regular season wins over the teams that beat them for the titles (White Station and Hillsboro, respectively). So Maryville doesn't really command that much signifacance anymore. When they were at their peak, they chose not to play against MBA/BA in the Clinic Bowl (2005). Rankin and Alcoa are in either single A or double A or something like that. We'll keep looking for games in the 5-6 A range with elite teams like Smyrna, Oakland, Ravenwood, etc.

interesting of course that Rankin wouldn't play in the Clinic Bowl in '05 against private schools when the proceeds went actual charity.......and now, all of a sudden, he's going to PAY US to come play him? Is he paying the money himself? Or do the boosters of the program have to come up with the money?

and I thought the reason you at Alcoa wouldn't travel for out of area games was because it was cost prohibitive. But now you want to give us money to show up and play you? Why not just keep the $3500 (use it for travel), play a home/home, and pocket your home gate and share of the road gate? That makes a lot more economic sense. And why do only one of Alcoa/Maryville play this game each year? Are you two that joined at the hip? Is other team not going to have a game in week zero so the whole community will support the "Blount County Bowl?" How about one of you play in the area in week zero (e.g., Alcoa hosts BA) and the other out of the area (Maryville travels to MBA), flip-flop it the next year, and have the collective proceeds be split between both of you? Also, why should say....we at MBA travel 2 years in a row in week zero to Blount County for the Blount County Bowl? Heck you guys wouldn't travel one time (Maryville) to Nashville for the Clinic Bowl, and now to make this happen we have to go there two years in a row?

you guys need to huddle up and come up with a better version of this story, in my opinion. This one is too full of obvious holes.
