Now you are showing YOUR ignorance if you are talking about Greeneville assistant coaches not getting paid. BTW..who said I live in Greeneville or the county. Last I checked this wasnt just a Greeneville web site. I guess you Do think the world revolves around you though...haha

So I guess you are just a troll who surfs sports boards bad mouthing people who have good football teams and live in Greeneville.....perhaps you are a socialist who believes we should all have the same no matter how hard we work. I would hope you are neither since you have been both insulting and crass in your posts it would be easier to peg you as a bitter CD fan,

Im not bad mouthing Greeneville as a town, you put that in my mouth not me. And Im simply stating facts when it comes to Greeneville as a program. Prove me wrong. The Coaches and the players are great. They do an outstanding job. I commend them. Its the know it all fans, that actually know next to nothing, that get under my skin.

All but a couple of coaches get a check. It is more than what the county coaches make. If you break it down for what time is put in starting in April until around the December, the GHS coaches make very little money. So the money they make is irrelevant to the success of the program. It helps having coaches who have done it before. Many of the county schools have coaches who may have never played football. Maybe have played but not coached well themselves, so who do you blame. When your on the bottom and you have no where to go but up, EFFORT and TECHNIQUE is most IMPORTANT! Not translating and trying to teach what you hear Bob Kesling talk about on Saturdays. Someone mentioned it in an earlier post, go watch a county team practice, and then watch Greeneville practice. The only similarities is that they both wear helmets and use a football. County folks who just love to gripe, meet the Devils at Burley Stadium at 7:30, Monday through Thursdays all through the summer (EXCEPT FOR DEAD WEEK). Thats a big difference. I could go on and on. Effort can substitute for what money can't always buy.

Can't agree with you more devilhead!

Buffaloes vs. Greene Devils — With a record of 5-1, it would be understandable if West Greene entered this game with high hopes of a victory.

However, the Buffaloes’ first six opponents have a combined record of 8-24 and three of them were Class A teams. Meanwhile, Greeneville has played a VERY TOUGH BIG-SCHOOL SCHEDULE with an opponents’ record of 14-12.

Devils have played- 1 6a team(Jeff. County), 2 5a teams(SS,THS), and 2 3a teams(SG,BETSY).

In the 2ed quarter,I think it will be another 21-0 Greeneville.By the time the band has played fifty times and two more quarters have gone by.Greeneville 84-0.no joke

I read your first one and I was thinking that would be a huge moral victory for the Buffs, then I thought you were an idiot. Then I read your second post.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
