in regards to the kid from ensworth going to PC, he would be ineligible even if he moved. This is a private to public school change. He would have to petition the TSSAA for a waiver to the rule of sitting out a calendar year from the last sport he participated in. I know several kids who left private schools and went to the school they were zoned for and had to sit out. the TSSAA has not granted a waiver to thsi rule that i know of. even kids leaving private schools for reasons such as grades, finanical issues, and such and they are still declared ineleigble for a year.

The rules have changed somewhat. It is possible for him to play if his parents move outside Ensworth's territory (20 mile radius).

Not certain that is feasible. Ensworth to PC is about 8 miles. If they moved more than 20 miles they will be out of the Metro Nashville School Area.

I agree...you are assuming he would transfer to PC. He may already have. If so...I don't see him playing either. If he transfers out of metro...he possibly could.

As an aside, I have seen the TSSAA provide a waiver. We had a kid here at CPA about 4 years ago transfer to Ravenwood. I think they requested a hardship waiver and was granted it and he played both Football and Soccer.

That's a possibility. I would think it would take some time for that to go through.

This is a joke and they would not easily win this quad. Look at their schedule

Unaka: W 22-8

at Unicoi County: W 35-27

#25 Claiborne: L 12-49

Grainger: W 30-21

at Cosby: W 49-35

Cumberland Gap: W 28-6

North Greene: W 42-13

#1 Greeneville: L 13-58

West Greene: W 27-26

at South Greene

Nothing about that screams domination by Chuckey Doak..look at the non conference. Unicoi? Unaka? Really? they barely beat Unicoi who has been crushed by EHS, AND HV. And we all know unaka is always a powerhouse team in 1A especially against 3A teams.

AGREED!

All the Greene County Schools Schedule are like this except for SG who has Crockette and Cocke County...I believe it's crazy for a school to schedule harder competition and penalized when it comes time for playoffs. I mean Wg and Cd both play 1a, 2a, schools and pad the stats for playoffs. Sg shldnt be penalized.

He could go to Alcoa. They only charge $500 and would probably find a booster to pay that if need be. LOL Just kidding Alcoa faithful. Don't get your jock straps all tangled up in knots. It was a joke.

But WG beat SG, and CD will have the opportunity this Friday. But I agree with you guys, CD will have a tough time making it out of the first round, if they play Besty, let alone making it out of their quad. They only beat WG by one point in a game that came down to the last second. I can bet on it that the Buffs would like another shot at the Black Knights. The best team in quad 1 is Austin East, then Elizabethton or Gatlinburg Pittman, not a team from the BRAC.

    • There's going to be more fallout from this.  It's not over.   A criminal investigation is also underway.  Additional school counselors have been fired.   As far as coach flip flops is concerned,  a lot of people knew he was flirting with disaster. He was recruiting failed athletes from other schools. Grades and discipline issues that got otherwise good athletes kicked off other area teams were playing at CHS. Grades, addresses or transfer rules be dam ed. It was just a matter of time.  It's a culture issue at the school. I've heard an assistant coach and teacher for another sports team was let go for not breaking up a fight on campus between 2 girls.  Supposedly he's only there because of coach flip flops, they're close.  That guy's kid, who's a great athlete in the school,  will probably transfer out to.  There's just so many layers to this .   I'm not sure the director of all Anderson county schools doesn't get bit by this somehow. He's the one who wanted, pushed for the principal at Clinton in the first place.  He initially denied anything had been uncovered when a local station broke the story.  He had to back track his statements.   It's ugly in Clinton right now folks.   Add in the fact that there's such a huge rivalry with ACHS across the river,  it makes it bitter for clinton fans if they say anything.  Especially given the dominance that ACHS has had over Clinton for 20+ years in  almost everything.
    • Congratulations to y'all. I have been texting some Huntingdon friends. What a great accomplishment. Proud of y'all. Keep battling.
    • I remember it happening, but I don't remember the details. I usually have headphones on so I don't hear the PA anyway. But it seems like a guy I know was doing it at one point, but he either didn't start it or didn't finish. I don't remember which.
    • Kreuziger from Huntingdon has been fantastic on the mound!  I think if the Fillies can score a couple of runs tomorrow it may be all they need to capture their first ever state championship in Softball.  Great day to be a Huntingdon fan!  Baseball team has won 17 in a row and plays for State Championship tomorrow also!
    • More like to much bad publicity so we have to do something. Happens all the time
