He is not giving any respect for what they are about to see Friday. When we say our D is as good as any we have had, we mean it. He'll find out soon enough.

No not the QB, mine plays on the O-D line..... :roflolk:

o okay beacause i became close with the qb's dad when he came to coach at dresden he's a really good guy...he really looked out for me...sons a heck of an athlete as well if i do insist :)and yes yalls defense is very good this year yall only held us to 6 points pretty impressive

I garuntee you that this will be a good game. Let me ask you McKenzie people a question. How much can this Mr. Football finalist Vinson lift? He is a smaller boy for a lineman. I doubt he is big enough to play in the SEC. Those Mount Pleasant boys have a real good blocker named Payne Colvett. He is 6'0 235lbs and he was preseason all state in my Murphy Fair book. I garuntee you that he can knock a hole for the runners to run through. I garuntee you that McKenzie coach will have that Vinson boy lined up on Colvett. You think im joking but im not.

Roy, u are a smart man. Just some more sizes for the rebels to think about,

Roy, Colin is middle LB and he is pretty strong if I say so myself. Back in the Spring he clean-300, bench 280 and squated 425. Not to bad for a junior and weighing only around 180 or so. He's a little bigger now from the Spring and would assume a little stronger. He could play my MLB slot anytime if I was coaching.... :thumb: MTP RB's better get ready cause this young man will knock your head off, plus he plays FB and on all special teams.....Run it at him and watch what happens. Let me throw in that he is not the only one on this team that can do the same thing. this team functions as a unit......

What size you talking about........I don't think that will intimidate anyone on this side of the river. Heck, our middle school kids were bigger than this roster. Go take a look at our roster on the link below...... :thumb:

CLASS 2A

In a rematch of the 2007 Class 2A semifinals, Mt. Pleasant roars into McKenzie, but the Massey Ratings are not giving the Tigers much of a chance.

The computers have the Rebels knocking off Mt. Pleasant 35-14.

The favorites are again in good positions to advance with the exception of top-seeded Hampton, who is projected to fall to Boyd-Buchanan 32-14.

Projected winners: Boyd-Buchanan, Wartburg, Trousdale County, Signal Mountain, McKenzie, Riverside, Humboldt and Trinity Christian.

My upset special: Mt. Pleasant over McKenzie.

If he is lined up in front of Payne He will also get Clay who stands next to his brother.

Those Massey ratings are a bunch of mess. Butchie, you need to look and see what Murphy has to say about this game. It is alot better than that Massey rating. You think im joking but im not.

i'm just sayin, i also wanted to say thank you for all the mckenzie support last week, maybe yall can cheer for us again this week after our victory. how was the drive home friday night knowing mp put 50 up in first round playoff game? can yall keep up with that scoring? a wise man once said, "kiss the baby"! maybe ur fans can come to all our games and support us all the way to the state championship?

Well, in summing up the last few pages, it seems MtP fans are quite cocky this time (just like they were in '07 when we sent Marco and those others packing). Now we play these games to give each team their best shot at Round 3. Just for the record, we are NOT WHH!!!! This years Rebels are argueably IMO better than the one you saw in '07 even though they were very good. Our D is quite fun to watch compared to '07 even though ya'll likely won't enjoy it very much. Yeah, ya'll will get excited for a while when they bend a little if that happens? But, in the end, you will see.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
