Well let's git hit started....Can Mairvul slow down tha Blance Brothurs???...Ewe maik one mistaik and they can taik hit two tha house....Plus thay rilly maid us look silly in tha scrimmige last yeer at times....And thay haiv anuthur prime time athleet inn T.K. Kelly....

 

Thay run tha Wing-T as good as enny teem eye've seed sense tha 90's Cleavelund and 70's Loud-un teems....They are vurry well coached, well disciplined and won't beet themselfs eithur... :unsure:

I would like to think this is going to be a really good game. I think it does have that potential. Webb does execute the Wing T better than any team I've ever seen and they have a couple of athletes that can make you pay if you bite on the misdirection. My gut tells me that if this game were only a half, it could go either way and I definitely think Webb could surprise the Rebels. But I think a 4 quarter game will show Webb's lack of depth with less than 50 players. Having said that, I wouldn't be shocked if Webb pulled off the upset.

Webb scares me to death. Those Blanche brothers can score on any play. I just hope that Todd Kelly doesn't play as well as Parker Wormsley did last year at quarterback. Wormsley was the best wingT quarterback I ever saw. He ran that offense to perfection. He could run and pass and carried out the fakes very well.

 

What Maryville has going for them in this matchup bigtime is numbers. Maryville has way too much depth for Webb to overcome. Robinette,The Oline and the RB's will be too much for Webb. I see the game being very close with Maryville pulling away in the 4th quarter.

Looking at Webb's games the last several years they have done real well vs teams that used to be in Maryville's region and Bearden. Powell played Webb 4 times and lost everytime. That was Powell teams with the Bruins and Lee Smith. Webb also beat Knox West in 2007. West had a very good team in 2007. Maryville better play well or they could get beat.

Webb hasn't lost to a Knoxville Public school in about a decade. Beating Knoxville Public schools so consistently that no one wants to play them anymore. The sweeps of Knoxville teams include Powell(4 years), Bearden(2 years), Austin-East(4 years), Anderson County(2 years), CAK(2 years), Central(2 years), and Halls(2 years). None of these teams besides Halls still will play Webb. Either because the gate isnt enough or they are tired of losing to a small private school is irrelevant. What is relevant is the fact that Webb asks every team in Knoxville to play EVERY year. Coach Meske is willing to play ANYBODY ANYWHERE. That being said Maryville is a whole nother animal. It will be interesting to see if Webb can hang with historically the BEST team in the State.

      They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.

      Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.

      I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
