CoffeeBreak
Eagleville beats MTCS 5-2. Eagles score 5 on 4 hits and 3 MTCS errors. Cougars get 2 on 1 hit. Community beats Huntland 5-3. Forrest beats Cascade 5-4. Seems like 5 was a magic number for winning teams yesterday. Rematches today. Eagleville wins 8-1. Macdugal was dominant. Forrest vs Cascade and Community vs Huntland moved to today.

Also do your #1 & 2 get first rd byes in the district tourn or just #1 seed? Edited April 20, 2012 by Volzchamps
wingman10
I thought Cascade was better than a 6-4 team. However, your as good as your record

Also do your #1 & 2 get first rd byes in the district tourn or just #1 seed? 7 teams in the district the last two years. All play. Standard double elimination format. #1 will get a bye this year. We will be back to 8 teams next year. 2 teams advance from district (standard rule for all districts). Used to regular season champ got auto bid and the tournament was to identify the other team. Now regular season champ determines where the games are played. How do you guys do it?
CoffeeBreak
I thought Cascade was better than a 6-4 team. However, your as good as your record Cascade has two really fine pitchers; two maybe three guys that can hurt you in their batting order; average defense. I think they are going through a lull. Played 2 games vs Eagleville early in the year that were nip and tuck (split with them). Dropped 2 to Forrest this week. The other loss was to either Community I think (maybe Moore County my memory isn't as good as it used to be). Glad you cleared it up for us. We have 5 teams in our district. #1 regular season gets bye in the district tourn and also host. Double elim the rest of the way. However, If undefeated in reg district season then automatic bid into region. Edited April 20, 2012 by Volzchamps
redkuda
Eagleville is currently finding ways to loose as opposed to finding ways to win. Lackluster effort and need to use their heads at the plate. Time to make a struggling pitcher earn it and watch a few pitches and to swing the bat when a pitcher is on and hitting his spots. Leaving a runner on third that reached there with no outs should be unacceptable. I've seen more fire using a flint in a downpour. Rise up boys.
