Hva 4 Powell 1 Nelly 7 ip 1 er H. Owenby 6 ip 4 er

Oak Ridge beat Halls, 9-5. Halls helped early with 4 errors, but Oak Ridge has knocked the cover off the ball the last two games and played decent defense. Oak Ridge has the pitching; it's been lack of offense and errors that have been the issue when they loose. Almost the same bracket as last year with OR and HVA to play Tuesday with the winner getting a Region berth. It will be Lane throwing on Tuesday, you can bet on it.

Who did HVA throw against Karns? 3-0 seems awfully close. Coach Rice must be squeezing a lot of blood out of the turnip like he usually does this time of year. Anyone know who HVA has going against Powell?

HVA pitched Wiler, Karns pitched Roberts. Karns made 4 errors that scored all three runs and basically couldn't hit at all. Wiler was really good. Kept the ball down.

What are the times for the rest of the tournament?

Powell/Clinton today at 5

Halls/AC follow at 7:30ish.

Winners of today's (Monday's) games tomorrow at 5.

Winner's bracket finals - HVA and OR - follows at 7:30ish.

Wednesday, loser of winners bracket finals vs. winner of Tuesday's 5 PM game at 5

Winner's bracket winner vs. losers bracket survivor follows at 7:30ish.

Thursday, final game at 6 PM, if necessary.

Weather permitting, by the way. Looks like some heavy stuff on the radar coming from West Tennessee.

Clinton beats Powell...imploded two years in a row. I predicted Powell would run the table....so much for my baseball knowledge.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
