As I stated earlier, we were in a dire situation at the QB position. We would have gladly taken the back up QB at BA, MBA,Ensworth, Riverdale, Maryville, Baylor .............. We are thrilled to have Nick as our QB. Not only is he a very good QB, he will add his personal qualities to the team which will be great. Now don't feel left out FB, as I remember, PC had two very good QB's and we would have been happy to have taken PC's back up.

Well, I took some scholarship papers with me to lunch today just in case I came across some good athletes during my dinner.

And sure enough some Owls showed up and we engaged them in some conversation about bench stats and 40 times.

I think we will pass on the QB, but BCSportsfan and I agreed to offer #25 immediately.

Dont even have to see any film. We will have a home in the city secured for him by the end of the day.

I'm not real good with number ......but I did some sphiffering.......and as best as I can tell,,,,,,,,,,one half (1/2) of the teams in the playoffs don't make it out of the 1st round........

 

I see you did real well in 2nd grade math. All kidding aside, I have no disrespect for Smith Co. I was just referring to the guy that was saying Smith Co. should have a deep playoff run this year. I hope they do, they just don't need to get the cart before the horse. Just take it one game at a time.

I agree, BPM. The players and coaches should always take it one game at a time and not get too wrapped up in this stuff. I was just saying that I believed that the potential for the Owls is definitely there this year

No stats for any of our players on there from last season. Gordonsville sure does have their stats on there and they are ranked.

Gordonsville stats are worth more. They play a harder region.

My bad on the slip. Forgot that he was going with his dad to Independence. However, you guys won't be getting a qb any better that the Scurlock kid and with him all you did was play a weak schedule, go undefeated, an lose early. Once again, SC fans, you aren't getting Max Staver so don't get too hyped over a kid that none of you have seen throw a football yet.

 

Well Fat Anna - If we can get a QB as good as Scurlock (signed with Austin Peay) we will be extremely happy. No, I haven't read anywhere that said we were getting Max Staver. Oh yes, we have seen him throw (7 on 7 at Maryville) and he threw extremely well. Opened eyes from many other teams. And yes, we are HYPED with what we now have. Fat Anna, who is your team? Sounds like another SC hater.
