why doesnt maryville play out of state games?

Sweet! Honestly, if Powell does move to 6A it will be pretty tough. We are lacking the hefty boys up front that a lot of schools have right now. We don't match up well with teams that have big linemen.

i've been wondering this for awhile,why doesnt maryville play any powerhouse schools from out of state? i'd personally like to see them play some schools from georgia,florida,and alabama to see how they stack up against them. most of the elite teams in the country play teams from out of state, so why not maryville? what gives? i'm also puzzled as to why alcoa doesnt do this.

 

what would be the point? revenue? dey gots money, better players? national recognition? who cares? again, with all due respect. why would they? teams are different every year. last years undefeated, untied unscored on champ may have lost all starters and a coach....it would not be the same IMHO
