As usual Northeast Tennessee was disrespected by not being recognized or represented for the Mr Football awards. Malik Foreman should have been included in the finalist for what he brings to the table in every aspect of the game. I would put him up against anybody in the state. If he would have been the starting QB all year there wouldny even be a list. They would have delivered it to him personally. Oh well, let's do it on the field as a team and bring home the ultimate award. ROLL TRIBE

Well right here it doesn't look like the Tribe is being disrespected too much ....Maybe if Maryville wins a few more State Championships we can even be ahead of you guys ..... maybe icon_mrgreen.gif

... we don't care about this kind of respect anyway , I'll take that respect earned on the field any day over some Sportswriter who has probably never even been to Tennessee

This is from Maxipad prepola btw

I believe he was referring to Mr Football finalist not some stupid poll by someone that has not seen many (if any) of the teams play. Untill something gives, Maryville is still Maryville.

Ya , I know , I was just using this as a reference to show awards and rankings in High School usually don't have a lot of research behind them .... sorry I didn't do a good job on pasting that Ranking from Maxipad preps ... I'm not as good as Batman at them Purdy Pictures

You go by what system you have.DB earned their championships just like the vols did before 98 and nobody is returning any trophys from rocky top..The D1 system still sucks, but it's the best we have right now.Nomatter, all the past championships in the world and a quarter will get you a phone call in 2012,maybe.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
