Gonne depend on how effective Fulton's pass defense is...Al Cobb is just. that. good.

Fulton is looking tough to beat. I figured they would have an fairly easy time of it against Livingston Academy. The Giles/East Hamilton game was as close as I expected. I'm giving a slight nod to Fulton. When I saw the brackets I thought the 4A winner would be among the schools of East Hamilton, Fulton, Giles, and Greeneville. Fulton and Giles County are still standing.

What should concern Giles is Fulton's speed. The two closest games Giles has played are against teams with great overall team speed. Giles cannot have the turnovers they had tonight.

 

I say this game comes down to special teams and I will give that edge to Giles. I'll take the Bobcats 21-20

If you put any stock in Sonny_Moore's power ranking, this thing is a dead heat. He has Fulton by a couple of points in the rankings over Giles, but then Giles gets 2 for the home field advantage. That makes it a pick 'em game.

 

I have never seen Giles play at all, but I still remember the whuppin' that Fulton put on Covington in the 2003 3A Championship game ( that was back when it was played in Murfreesboro, young 'uns). If this Fulton team is anywhere close to that talented, they are going to be a load to handle.

I hear speed but what about size on the oline and dline? whats fulton ranked in defense and offense? speed has to get out the backfield to get seen js at this point of the season its about coaching and putting the players in the right position to make plays and stops.

I assume you are referring to the Caney Fork River? It's cold but you can wade it in many places. Been there. Done that. Fixing to do it again!

I'll take Giles and that's no disrespect towards Fulton at all. It can go either way. I only like Giles because it is at the Brickyard and such a long trip for Fulton. The winner should win the Gold Ball.

4A championship could have been last night or this Friday. If Giles limits their turnovers I see them pulling this one out.

I don't forsee a whole lot of points scored in this game with two D's giving up less than 10 pts a game. As always limit the turnovers and you have a chance. Hard to pick a winner but hope Fulton gets back to the Championship game.
