8AA Mid Season Review

Any player in the district would trade an individual award for a District or Region championship. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way. Lets try to get two teams to the glass house!

Agreed TPride, you guys are very solid. Looking at it now, I cant figure out how we had a shot to beat you guys earlier in the season...you are playing well.

 

Games between CC and DC are always entertaining and competitive, no matter the talent involved. That's one of the joys of rivalry games! Cannon County: the most hostile gym in the district

Especially when DC is coming. I already can't wait for that. Two crowds going at each other and leaving the game with your ears buzzing, lol.

In a way, I find Cannon's small gym, with little to no room for the visitors to be kinda charming, lol. Of course, we usually manage to dig out a place for our fans...just a tiny one...

I stood in the doorway last time.

Been there, done that. The first time their girls played McMinn Central in that substate game was the fullest I've ever seen that gym. People were piled out in the lobby trying to watch the game in any way possible.

I remember one time we played them everyone in the doorway was trying to see over each other.

 

The loudest I've ever heard a gym was I think two years ago when we played Cannon in Sparta. That place was packed on both sides and after the game my ears sounded muffled for twenty minutes.

Too bad that game ended so badly...haha. Maybe we can alleviate that this season.

DC down by ten at the half to Upperman. I hope we make halftime adjustments and turn things around. I couldn't make the trip and am listening to the game, and it just seems to be one of those games where nothing seems to go right. I've heard miss so many times already. Under the goal and three point range nothing is dropping.

UHS wins. Bad game for DC. Very bad. But this will focus us for the district tourney, I think. I'm not very concerned. Hats off to the bees for the adjustments.

Congrats Upperman on convincing win! Ramsey dropped 30 to finish of a scrappy Cannon Co & topped it off with a big slam. Gonna be a good tourney!

Sounded like the ball and net didn't want to get along too well tonight, lol. I don't think I've heard that many missed shots in a long time. Bad game, but noone goes without losing forever. I agree this is a great eye opener for the tournament. I'm not worried either.
