TWF Individual Rankings & Predictions - TSSAA D1

Please tell me where I have purported to be an expert? I am just tired of people running their mouth about those of us that put time and effort into doing these rankings and predictions with such words as "they don't know what they are talking about"

How else would you do predictions without picking individual matchups? If kids are getting bent out of shape, maybe they are concentrating on the wrong things? Rankings and predictions mean, as I have always "purported", nothing.

Coach,

Thanks for posting all this. It is unfortunate that some people don't understand what a 'prediction' is.

I think you crossed a line when you purport yourself to be an expert and then proceed to handicap individual matches all the way through the entire tournament. If you want your favorites to make the finals, that is fine. But when you predict individual matches, from match one through infinity the kids see it and get a little bent about it. Then when you come back on here and talk about how well you did it is an insult to anyone with an understanding of statistics. One could have had a similar success at picking the semifinal matchups by choosing everyone who lives in Bradley County (Cleveland, Walker Valley, Bradley, and two from Notre Dame).

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
