PrimeXTime44: if you go to the 11-AA thread and look I told you that the Cubs would be sitting in this exact position way back in Novembet/December of last year

I am going to talk because I have said nothing about Cubs athletics that hasn't come to fruition this year. This has been Cheatham County's "swan song" in 11-AA and it has been a great 4 years in a good district but as far as football and basketball are concerned the Cubs are leaving on top of the mountain. They have nothing more to prove in the realm of District 11-AA because you can't go beyond being number one.

Football took that "next step" when they beat Fairview not once but twice this past fall.

Basketball knows that Giles County/Spring Hill to them represent that chance to join "elite" status.

I look for the boys, and the girls, to knock off some more 12-AA powers over the next couple of evenings.

I don't post on the baseball threads so after basketball is finished I am done and off to the 9-AA forums. Once again it has been a great 4 years and it's been awesome watching the Cubs dominate boys sports this 2012-2013 calendar year.

You make it hard for 11-AA people to want to cheer for Cheatham.

Cheatham is 25-3 and Waverly is 23-7. Cheatham went 2-0 against Waverly. I would say that makes them better. Like someone said last nite go enjoy baseball season.

And you say go enjoy baseball season? Now, if you wanna go compare records there, then Cheatham County has won....what......2 or 3 games in the past 2 years. So that makes them about.......3-40? I guess that's why you say to enjoy baseball season because with records like that, YOU sure can't enjoy them, including a 36-0 beatdown from Harpeth last year.

How so? What did I say in that last post that was derogatory towards any other teams?

It's an accumulation of all your posts. Your constant negativity towards other teams, "homerism" towards your own team and relief to be out 11-AA next year makes it difficult to cheer for our 11-AA member. Good luck to all the guys tonight.

I have said Cheatham is better than Harpeth and Waverly. That isn't negativity it's a fact. I have given credit to CW for their season. I even noted when they outplayed the Cubs in January. I also was very complimentary to Camden and MC at different points this year. Go back and read the posts! Go Cubs!

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
