Smith County @ Gordonsville

I believe that Carthage wins this week by 4 touchdowns. I watched Gordonsville last week and the are timid, slow, and clueless on what's going on in their defensive backfield. That being said , I've heard people talking about how much better manning is than kason. Where could I find the stats to support that? It seems to me that manning is a good back, until someone hits him and then he goes down. That's not the description of a great running back. And as far as his strength goes, you can't tell how strong he is once he's on the field. I think if he can learn to use his strength he'll be a lot of fun to watch.

Back to football heres the Injury update I got:

Cason(7) and Jackson(22) practiced today.

Bane (6) didn't practice today. Don't really know status. Questionable for Friday

Edwards(52) the one that got carted off is doing good. He goes to the doctor Wednesday to see if he needs surgery and all that dislocated knee cap and possible MCL sprain

Salisbury (68) the original starting Guard/DT will practice tommorow after getting hurt Dekalb scrimmage. Should help if he can mentally get back 100% before Friday.

Anybody know anything about SC and their injuries?

This thread is relatively slow compared to usual.

There's a lot of apprehension from both sides.

I heard some people say that they thought Gville laid down last week.

I don't know as I didn't see the game.

If they did, I'm sure SC is licking their chops.

This may come down to which team sucks it up and moves forward.

I hope it's the blue team.

This could be a barn burner between 2 nonblocking teams. Still say SC wins and beats your Bees next week also. Still not drinking the Baxter kool-aid.

I picked LA to win the district ÄC/SC and to fight out 3/4 positions. ÚH in 2nd. Nothing I seen or heard about wêek one has changed my mind other than maybe hÆ¡w bad LA played. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
