Bears are gonna have to cut down on the penalties to win this game. Not sure if they can cover Malone.

Coverage wise I think they will play the same as everyone else (man in front, safety behind). He had 4 catches for 35 yds and 2 carries for 9 yds against Beech. I would tell my kickoff guy you have 2 choices, kick it in the end zone or kick it to Roger Perry on the sideline. Under no circumstances do you allow him to get a return. Time of possession will be key for MJ to win, Long time consuming drives. High scoring game favors SC, low scoring game favors MJ. If SC scores 30 they win.

This is why I always have a tough time picking SC against a decent team.  If you have one of the best receivers in the country and darn good qb, how does he only get 6 touches?  If Beech kicks the ball in the bleachers every time the SC staff looks even more stupid.  I believe SC really does have the talent to compete at the top of 9AAA this year.  The coaching staff is another story.  I'm rooting for SC, but not holding my breath.

Well said. Why not 26 touches. I saw on TV they lined him up at qb, but only a few times. He and number 8 should get all the touches. Then they would be potent. Coaches can't win games but they sure can lose them.

More touches don't mean more yards or touches necessarily /

Case in point Vic Wharton at Indy ( 2014 Vol )

Last year in a poor coached Dyson team plenty of touches , this year with good schemed offense and used CORRECTLY without as many touches in Blades offense the kid is killing it .....

I agree idea is to put the ball in the kids hands at SC but sometimes it's not used or schemed right - I mean with a kid like Hurd throw out schemes etc the kid does it on his own ...

However some kids from the wildcat, or as a RB can't read the holes, wait for a block etc....

I agree to some extent, however your playmakers have to touch the ball. Schemes and coaching means quality touches. No excuse not to touch it more though.
