When you consistently build your program from your little feeder programs in your own community and little Johnny at the age of 14 or 15 gets a chance to run the ball on a high school field in front of all his brothers, sisters, mommas, daddy's, and grandparents, and the local stores owner for that matter who sees little Johnny walking to school or riding his bike on fall break... And it's the kids DREAM since youth to score a TD as a PIRATE.... You gonna tell little Johnny HE HAS TO KNEEL ON THE BALL!!! I am beginning to think you are just a troll. Maybe it's different where you watch football and different on the team you support, but not in the small towns who cherish those Friday nights with their family and loved ones dressed in Orange & Black.

I agree, if you can't stop the third string offense of a 1a team whether its sp or any other 1a school you will just have to deal with it. You can't tell freshman to take a knee, that's when they learn the system for when they become starters.

South Pittsburgh - Where they run up the score on a hapless, winless team. You want to talk about disrespect? Beating Lookout Valley 76-0 is classless.

NCS would take a knee every down for the rest of the game if it got to be 49-0 in the second quarter.

If you are going to trash us, at least spell our name correct! And get the facts before you call someone classless!

I have to disagree Art. SP had the starters out before the second quarter was over. They scored on such things as a fumble return and then the 2nd and 3rd teams scored as well. Anyone at the game would tell you when the young guys are scoring up the middle. There isn't alot different they could have done.

Agree. Once a team has put in their backups, if they still can't be stopped, thats on the other team. No coach is going to take a knee for a whole half and not give their backups some playing time. They already have a running clock to ease the bleeding.

The winning team should never be the quitters.

You are incorrect on several levels.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
