Where was the train horn tonight?!?!!?!

Maybe it's broken or somebody stole it, whatever, everybody around me was sure glad it was gone. It's too darn LOUD, need to stuff a sock in it.

And a first for me both bands were very good tonight.

What happen to # 80? Hope he didn't blow a knee.

Looked better tonight but still haven't played anybody ....  yet! We'll get a test next fri night. Better be ready, gonna be a tuff game.

Someone I work with thought people who live close to the field had been complaining abt the noise from the loud speakers and the train horn. Maybe they complained enough and got their way. Who knows? I hate it if that's true.

If it came to a vote the whistle would be gone, too many folks think it's too loud. It needs to be turned straight up, that would probably tone it down just enough.  And the people that live around "The Ship" just need to live with it. It's just 6 or 8 friday nights a year. I like the wildcat growl a lot better but I'm just one.

Hey bounder, when was this vote?  The athletic office (Mullins Secretary) told me there were a handful of complaints from the elders in the Reserved Section.  I'm one of those elders, I didn't get no vote.

I didn't get to vote either. Just repeating what the folks around me were saying about the whistle. Tone it down and keep it.

How bout that JV game.  What an ending.  We made a heck of a comeback only to come up just short.  It certainly was entertaining.  Wish we could have made one more play.  Looked like confulsion on the last hand off.  First, he had Allison change sides, then they kind of ran into each other on the exchange.  He could've walked in if we had anything that resembled a sweep or something designed to go anywhere except between the tackles.  TJ is going to be a good back for us next year.   And Logan is going to be a good signal caller.  Oh well. 

 

Nole, how is #2 today?  He got rolled up pretty good.  Hope he's allright.

That's why I think I like the freshman and JV games. Always something going on.

Had someone texting me the whole game. Sounds like TJ ran strong. Think Miner showed he will be a very good receiver in the future. Next years running backs could be crazy good: Rowe SR, Jones JR, Dunbar (sometimes) JR, Luster SR, Allison JR. Think my RB will be looking at safety. All receivers except Goins coming back also.

I can't wait to see Allison run the ball some next yr on varsity. That kid is TOUGH. Made some bone jarring hits on defense too last night. Hope he keeps his head on straight and the rest of them do because they are all gonna be a load to handle for opposing teams next year. The depth is gonna be crazy.
