No, I wasn't thinking of you. You've been very respectful as we disagreed. There are others that just like to follow us around and say stupid stuff.

No attacking by me. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. As I have said before NCS has a good team and should win here. Anything is possible though. Good luck to both teams.

Good luck to you guys! I'll follow the game on ballfrog.

East plays lipscomb. It could have an impact depending on whether or not westmoreland wins/loses. If westmoreland wins then east and lipscomb play each other in round one. If they lose then the game really means something. Should be a good game either way.

NCS can name the score in this game , it will not even be a contest. I made the trip up 70 to see the East/NCS game and was quite impressed with the eagles. I saw them crush my Irish but we are awful and didnt give me a feel for how they would stack up against a better opponent. Let me tell you they are for real. Workinprogress keeps complaining about the interception which i agree may have been trapped but was tough to see live, if i remember correctly East was behind at the time and would have had a 3rd down with no guarantees they would score on that possession. I truly think the better team won. NCS is more balanced than East and can match talent at the skilled positions. My cousins kid is on the NCS team and they told me the big running back at NCS had been sick all day, the game may not have been close if he was 100%. The Left side of NCS line will match up against any body, any class. The QB is not 6ft, , 5'9" at best but is savvy and tough. Where i though East got out coached was punting in the 4th qtr (or late 3rd) when NCS had ran a bunch of subs in for their punt receiving team, should have faked it and ran right at them. they had tried it earlier on a 4th and 18 and almost got the first down. other than that i thought both coaches did a great job. NCS call on 2nd and 1 to go deep was also a game changer. All in all a great football game and worth the drive

Thanks for sharing your thoughts of the East game from a somewhat unbiased spectator. NCS should be playing with a lot of confidence after that game. Because of that I also don't think the game tomorrow at CA will be close. Then again there are always those examples of teams that have a hard time getting up for a perceived lesser game following a big emotional win over a tough opponent. I don't think that will happen though. I believe they will take care of business tomorrow and move on.

Im just a backwoods football hick that likes a good game. If workinprogress knows anything about the TSSAA he should know that the thing they fear most is the success of a private school in Div 1.  Especially a school that bursts on the scene with a lot of players that dont resemble the players they have fielded in the past 40 years. You shouldnt look for any favorable calls come playoff time.   The one call workinprogress didnt mention that i thought the refs missed was when , i believe it was #44 from NCS made a tackle behind the line , then ran to midfiied and took a demonstrative bow.  Very lucky he didnt get flag that would have extended the drive.

#44 Last name Swann, thus the swan pose after a sack. For some reason I don't think he's been flagged for that. At some point he will be. Hope it doesn't bite us.

Both teams tonight will have #44's that like to pose. But we will see tonight. Hope we get out without more injuries. Another week will give us more time to heal some.

Looking forward to this game tonight and expecting the Eagles get the big win!

Hope to get into Clarksville early enough to have a pregame meal at Johnny's on College St! NCS fans, if you've tried the honey bun and ice cream that we've been doing lately in our concession stand, Johnny's is the inspiration for that. Good stuff!!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
