OLD PIRATE
The Pirates having completed a successful 9-1 regular season with the last two feuds revealing the continued development of a team that will be a major challenge for any and all opponents for the Gold. The Pirates get a bye and hopefully have time to heal any that are slowed from a strong physical finish. The Pirates have shown a power running attack that other prior state championship SP teams have used to bring home the bacon.

wingman10
Coach Moore was an excellent hire. Knows how to build a team from the beginning...built them for the playoffs..this team is much better than at the beginning. This team will bring home the gold
BigDave67
I think South Pittsburg will make a nice run in the Playoffs. I think They will play in the Blue Cross Bowl.
Geno
This Team has come a LONG way Since August! if our offense is used correctly no one in 1A will touch them!
OLD PIRATE
Old Pirate has seen a Pirate team that seems to have found it's identity. That being a physical team that can ram it down your throat and diversed enough to spread an opponent out with several multi-talented athletic guys that can catch the pass in space and make plays. That being said, the Warriors could have been easy pickings if the Pirates had wanted to do more than be physical. It was crystal clear to several old pirates on the fence what the game plan has been in the later part of the season. Hopefully the power running game will continue to improve as well as the pass, if and when the attack strategy needs to be altered. OLD PIRATE says, Go Mighty Pirates, the Best team/program in the valley hands down!

KickinWing11
It's SPs championship to lose.
TheAmbassador
It's SPs championship to lose. It's funny you say that. I said in June that it was Coalfield's to lose in 1A, but SP could make some serious noise if the team came together and improved as the season moved forward. Most other people on here agreed with me. Why do you think SP is now the team to beat? Edited November 3, 2013 by TheAmbassador
Warrior918
As long as Jujuan stays healthy then South Pittsburg's hardest obstacle to get to Cookeville will be the bus ride.

Most other people on here agreed with me. Why do you think SP is now the team to beat?Their body of work is impressive. They've beat some really good teams and only lost to a 4A school who is also a good team. It's hard to argue with the results they've produced against the competition they've faced
