Proof is in the pudding...standby & you will see. Nothing more to say..y'all are always gonna be haters..Waverly will make a statement & earn respect in 2014.

Waverly will have a great shot at 5-5 this year. They'll beat Houston County and Perry County. They should also be very competitive against Creek Wood, Montgomery Central, Stewart County, Hickman County, and East Hickman. If they can win 3 of those 5 games they'll be a playoff team. They've had several bad years and I know that the excitement level is back up over there.

LOL why would I or anybody else hate on Waverly? I don't think Waverly has ever beaten Lewis Co but anyway no doubt Waverly will be better and good luck this season!

I talked to a coach from Brighton and he said they only lost to Dyersburg.  No one went undefeated at the 7 on 7.

Waverly didn't go undefeated. They beat Brighton, South Fulton, and TCA. They tied Dyersburg. They practiced with Brighton after the 7 on 7 was over, and they may have played again. The first game between the two went to Waverly, however.

I attended the TCA/Waverly game. Please note....TCA did not play their all state QB Akin. They played the backup to give him some reps. TCA actually scored more TD's but due to the two INTs backup threw Waverly ended up with more PTs. Akin will be the all time leader in passing in Tennessee history after this season. I assure you if he played it would not have been close. Waverly looked good and with addition of their great basketball players they will be solid but no match for TCA during a regular season game. Good luck to Waverly this year. Hope they do well.

These basketball players may be athletes but lets see how they do when they strap on the helmets and get hit in the chin.
