The picture must be a photo from somewhere else, the logo on the player's sleeve is of on oil rig, similar to the old Houston/TN Oilers. Not a SP team pic, so Roy can get off the ledge.

Watched scrimmage yesterday and Boyd is def improved both offensively and defensively from my first take. New QB impressed with his passes and seems to have a few more guys (more upper class men ) to throw to this year than Caldwell had last year. #24 is a small kid but has wiggle and good hands and #21 is solid. #3& #5 at RB obviously looked good but #29 the backup RB caught my attention. Kid can flat out fly. Built similar to Hale but looks to be faster and every bit as shifty. TE/DE#80 is going to be a stud for this year. Several younger guys that are Freshman and Soph stood out too. Next several years is BRIGHT

Saw the same thing. They seem to have big play capabilities we have not seen in a few years. They scrimmage East Ridge next Friday so we will see how they do against more speed. Good opening scrimmage with no one hurt and few turnovers.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
