Uh your backups? You guys had starting lbers in against our seconds! Sure, you had to rotate a couple of lineman in so someone else could take the beating. Look out boys!! The king is back!

Did y'all even have a secondary? Didn't appear to. Two plays, 2 70 yarders. Keep on believing!

Keep drinking the Kool Aid! Keep believing. We have basically same team as we had last year. Lost 1 starter on offense and 1 on defense. We will see how it all plays out in November. In a scrimmage, passing majority of time and scoring every possession doesn't accomplish anything. Our coaches wanted to work on other areas. Yes, i understand we didn't stop your run but it was 5-3 when we put our backups in and our backups aren't nearly as good as your backups. We also stopped using our air attack with starting QB. It was not nearly as bad as it looked. Your passing defense is just as bad as our run defense. Bottom line is this......you have to beat Mitchell in 2nd round and we have to beat Trenton. Two very tall orders as both of those will be tough opponents. If that happens we will see who has the best FB team and yes Avillle's run game is much better than yours. Yesterday you had the better scrimmage but November is what counts. You have much more depth than we do and we can't afford any more injuries. Hopefully we will make the playoffs an finish at least 5-5. Good luck. I'm sure you all will be in playoffs no matter what.

You all are pretty sure of the seeding already...LOL

I was refering to the title game and I stand by those pics. In the 1st and 2nd round the seeding will determine who will play who and where. Hun....or Mitchel could be the top seed. You never know.

Does Trinity have anymore athletes like the Washington kid a few years ago? Is he still at Alabama?

Washington is still at Alabama.

TCA is lead by Sr. QB Kyle Akin.  Akin is on a pace to shatter most of the states passing records.  He threw for over 3500 yards and 45 touchdowns while also running for almost 500 yards last year alone.  Also featured is RB/LB/DB Andrew Goldsmith, a junior.  He ran for right at 1000 yards last year and hits with violence on defense.  A school in the Big Ten has paid him a visit this spring.  Eli Parker is a junior WR/K for TCA.  As a sophomore, he caught passes for over 950 yards and 12 scores.  As a kicker, he was 66 / 71 on PAT's.  He was 2 of 3 on field goals with his lone miss coming on a 56 yard attempt  that fell just short in a late season game.

  • 2 weeks later...

It's quite in sweatervesterville ? Who y'all got Friday ?

We play Jackson Northside in the last game of jamboree. Still very banged up. Last Monday we had 13 players out. We were down to 23 players. Two or three are atarting to come back. Hope to have all but 4 or 5 by St George's. All state MLB Anderson may not be back until 3rd game. Play Briarcrest in a limited scrimmage today. I honk each team will go 4 series each. Aville shouldn't have any problem with Humboldt.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
