Hahaha my friend you say that like your trying to hurt me. I'm not from South Pitt but it sounds like your their kin. South Pittsburg loses more often than win. They didn't make sports center for losing in a Champ game though unlike their brothers up the road. I'm just keeping it real

I didn't mean it that way at all, Tyrone. I was just keeping it real. :roflol:

I agree, Tyrone.  South Pittsburg losing another championship game was also a dissapointment.

Once they got there, yes.  However, 2013 was a wild year for those boys going through the Ross Ricky, Ricky Raccoon or what ever his name was being the coach then at  Spring Practice he wasn't.  Then they had to learn to adjust to a new coach in the summer.  Then came all that McKrylon mess.

SP has still won it more times than most and been there quite a few times during the A-AA-AAA era.  Been there in every decade there has been a playoff system.  Just keeping it real.

Trinity Christian Academy needs to be added to the list[/quot

And why would we be a disappointment? Going into the season we thought we might have up to 4 losses going into playoffs with our schedule: St George's, Adamsville, Jackson Central Merry, ECS and possibly USJ. We thought all along '14 would be our year. We finished the season at 9-1 with our only loss to ECS and made it to the semis. Nobody from TCA expected an 11-2 season. I don't think that would be considered a disappointment. Now, next year, anything less than Cookeville would be a disappointment with 9 starters back on offense and defense and only one skill player lost.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
