Yes he does. Coaches the DB's, I believe. But he is on staff

Not sure if he does. I would assume the other AD, Jonathan Brewer would have more political connections

Wow this is a busy topic. Co ads is correct. Atchly is the Mayor of seviervilles son & brewer is obviously son of brewer. So thats a toss up in terms of political ties in my mind. They would work together very well though so I dont think they are really opposing forces but you never know. This is why hiring outside the current staff would be great if you go with a guy with strong leadership and a lot of experience. You guys may think Im joking but a grandma could be successful here the next several years. The offense staff is still at this point totally in place. Hiring a defensive guy would fit best because the bears did lose the d coordinator so its a fresh start any way.

 

Now to the freshman team having a down year. They did go 3-5 but they lost 3 games that they could have won easily. The 3 classes ahead of them went undefeated but may have lost to maryville if they played them. The next 3 classes 6th, 7th , 8th grade groups are loaded so 1 down class is not so bad. You have to know that this freshman class lost a lot of kids because of the new school in kodak. That will level off because the area is growing so fast. The freshman class also has some good pieces just was lacking experience at qb and the 8th grade class has a stud coming up at qb.

 

14-1 will be tough as always losing the 2 sophs banks and pope definitely hurts some in terms of beating the allstars but this team is very good and will smash most teams this year and for many more to come. I think its an exciting time to be a bear fan. We have a new jumbo tron and 2 tv games and a boat load of good players. So unless they hire some idiot we will be fine.

Will they be able to work together if they both applied to be the HC and only one gets it and the other is his supervisor? Will there be any problems if they hire from the outside and both ADs were passed over?

Yes and no. They are really pretty high quality people any coach would love to have them and they can work together fine either way. The only issue I have heard is if Brewer gets it then the o coordinater might quit. I dont believe that but I did hear that.

Nothing Im hearing says this but if I had to put a crisp $100 dollar bill on it I would say Brewer is the guy. You heard it here 1st.
