GWAVE1
Looks like the Commandos and Mt Juliet take the early lead out of the gate because the rest of the district took it on the chin tonight. Beech/ Gallatin will set one team apart as will Mt Juliet/ SC.
chickhot2
Hey lady commandope we are going to be champs again. Let the green 1980s speak for themselves. Cant wait to play the gummy bears next week. They probably still thinking about the beating from last year. Bison will pass for 450 next week. Sure hurts to see their qb throw the ball so beautifully, and he wore purple 2 years ago. Great kid and athlete. WH also has a couple of good, hard nose runners as well. Hope everyone had a safe night tonight in the rest of the games.

Not sure what exactly that's supposed to mean, but I assure you that Beech has by far played the toughest schedule and wouldn't consider it taking it in the chin. Yes the score was 31-21, however Henry County had 5 or 6 possessions that started inside the Beech 20. Galatin lost to Springfield, not quite Henry County. I do believe Hendersonville is very good and MJ better than I anticipated, however neither one has played anyone. From what I've heard, Gallatin will have a long year. WCP
I think wc schedule has been brutal too. That lhs team had athletes galor, and team speed that they won't see again this year. Tough game, got an onside kick with 2 mins left, then threw a int, they knee the ball, fumble in victory formation, then wc gets a shot with 1 sec left and the qb throws it out the back of the endzone..fun game. Was down 20 in the 3rd and battled back. Ready for the district games to start up.

Gallatin has got to change some things and get better or it will be a long season.

BKisler
MJ got the win in an ugly game 31-13. Must have been 30+ penalties called. Terrible officiating; but it was called the same on both sides. MJ defense scored the first two touch downs of the game. That makes the D with forcing 9 turnovers in two games. Antioch really couldn't do much. The did complete a long td pass late in the game and gave up a run of about 13 yards for a td. Game not as close as the score. The MJ offense... well .... it was not pretty. Didn't seemed focused; perhaps looking forward to Station Camp next week. Ran the ball well at times. Missed 4 field goals including a 57 yarder. The Bears will have to play much better to beat the Bison. Edited August 30, 2014 by BKisler
BKisler
Chicky; is SC going to have everyone back and healthy when the Bison visit the Bears next week ? Bears still have a starter out and he wont be back until the Wilson Central game. I can promise you this has been one game that has been circled on the Bears calendar. Love 9AAA district games... sad to see them end.
mondo44
Looking forward to this week for the Commandos as big Taye comes to town. Need to go to work Monday morning on getting better in all areas, getting our injured players back, and having a great week of practice.
