When Alcoa played Fulton at home a few weeks ago there was no floor wiping going on that night. Fulton won by 2.

I saw that, but it sounded like coaching cost them a win in that game and several other games.

While I'm sure Kirk is well connected with Alcoa, he doesn't appear to be getting the job done. In the end, that's what matters. Sounds like he'll be gone after this year.

CAK played a great game on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Irish stayed in foul trouble the whole night. It's going to be a long night when the other team is in the bonus halfway through the first quarter. The refs called it pretty tight which takes away Catholic's strength advantage. Reynolds was unstoppable and hit big shots while very well contested. Tip of the hat to Coach Wells and the Warriors!

Time to go represent 4AA. Good luck to all teams!

Reynolds was MVP and deservedly so. Knock down shooting. Campbell had 17pts and 15 rebounds.

Defense was the difference.

I thought Catholic being in foul trouble was the bigger difference (CAK was 24-36 from the free throw line Catholic 9-14) When Jancek and Kuerschen picked up those second fouls in the second quarter, CAK made their run. I agree with Irishbball it took away the Irish aggressiveness. But in the end you have to hit shots, and Reynolds was on point with his shooting. Good luck again and be careful in this weather. • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
